Atsushi is on his way to a meeting with people of the Port Mafia and the Detective Agency. He was briefly informed what they were going to discuss, something about the vampire situation. The last time he had seen Akutagawa pops into his mind, he hasn't seen him since Akutagawa basically died saving him. Atsushi makes his way into the doorway where the others are waiting for his arrival. As soon as he walks in he immediately notices that there aren't many people in the room.
He sees some agency members, Dazai, Kunikida, and Ranpo. He recognizes the blonde woman named Higuchi, he also spots Gin, Akutagawa's sister. He eyes her again, Wait, wasn't she one of the people who became one of those rouge, violent, destructive vampires? Dazai steps in front of him and places a hand on his shoulder. He speaks, "Since Atsushi is here, we can finally talk about something that has happened." Atsushi is guided to a seat in front of a long table, ones you would find in meeting rooms, he sits down in between Ranpo and Kunikida. The seatings are not surprising, the Port Mafia members are sitting close to each other and the Detective agency is seated the same on the opposite side.
Dazai is standing in the front of the room with Chuuya. Dazai speaks first, "We have news about the vampire mess that occurred not long ago." Chuuya talks next, "As you all know most if not all vampires were captured and placed in a facility to do tests and make a cure and they were successful." Dazai, "Yes, we have the cure and most vamps are cured. We have one here." Dazai points to Gin and everyone around the table nods in acknowledgment at this. Atsushi breathes out in relief, the whole vampire thing really was a mess. Chuuya," However one of the cured vamps left the facility in which he was contained and we don't know where he is."
"He is a very valuable member of the Port Mafia and we need him back. So the Port Mafia is asking everyone here to speak to us if you see Akutagawa Ryuunoske." Dazai finishes, "That's all there is, so tell everyone else that was not able to make it here now that the reign of vampires is over." Every port mafia member starts leaving now leaving the Detective Agency in the room. Where is Akutagawa? Why would he leave? Atsushi thinks to himself. Kunikida speaks, "I wonder how well Akutagawa could have hidden for the Port Mafia not know where he is." Dazai shrugs with a darkish look in his eyes, nobody notices it. Atsushi and the other Port Mafia leave the room and heads back to their building. Akutagawa's well-being pops into Atsushi's mind on and off the rest of the day.
Two days ago, a few hours after the facility members gave Akutagawa the cure. Akutagawa's eyes turn back to their original grey form, Akutagawa quickly gains the last thing he had seen when he was himself. The feeling of the blade cutting into his neck sends a shiver down his back so he sits up. He was laid onto a hospital-like bed he stares blankly at his surroundings. He feels like he should cough but he doesn't need to. What is going on? He thinks to himself. As he stands up he realizes that he doesn't have his coat, he is wearing his clothes but no coat. These clothes also don't feel as they should if they were the ones he wore when he helped the Weretiger, someone must have changed him when he was unconscious. Akutagawa looks around the small room it looked much like a hospital.
Akutagawa remembers saving the weretiger and his heart feels a little tight, or maybe like a tug. He doesn't try to think about what that was about and he walks to the door and opens it. Akutagawa peeks out into a hall he looks both ways and sees no one, so he calmly walks out and heads to where an exit sign is. He makes his way down the hall and sees a door that says supply closet he opens it and finds a spare facility jacket. Akutagawa quickly puts it on and hopes for the best and makes his way following the exit signs. It didn't take too long to find the exit and he didn't bump into many people, the people he did walk by didn't notice him so he walks out without any difficulties.
