Chapter 3: I Will Wait For You

It was early Saturday morning when Midoriya awoke from his slumber and decided to head out for groceries. On his way to the supermarket he ended up bumping into Bakugou, and from there, they decided to go shopping together.

While in the grocery store, Bakugou starts to confess his feelings to Midoriya and asks him for love advice. And being the person he is, he couldn't just not help Bakugou.

"Hey Deku, question."

"Yeah, what's up?" Midoriya responds as he looks for the correct brand of chicken.

"I was wondering, have you ever liked someone? Not as a friend, but more?" Midoriya paused and slowly turned around to face the now blushing Bakugou.

"What do you mean?"

"Like, you know. When you're near them, you can't help but smile and feel happy, and everything they did seemed beautiful?" He blinked and looked hopefully towards Midoriya for any sort of response. "Oh, um. Yea?"

"Oh great! Then can you help me figure out how to confess to them?"

"Yea, of course. I'm your best bud!" Midoriya tried to not sound worried and finished shopping. While on the way back they discussed ways that Bakugou could confess to his secret crush, and through this whole process Midoriya was trying to figure out who this person was. As they reached the dorms, Bakugou decided to gather all his friends and plan out the whole thing.

"Whoa, Baku-bro actually likes someone?"

"Hey, I'm not that dense-"

"I wonder who it is?" All of a sudden the whole room got quiet and everyone started to guess randomly, until Uraraka suddenly screamed.

"Oh my god. Is it Izuku?!" Everyone looked at Midoriya and all of a sudden Bakugou argued back.

"Why would it be him?" Midoriya's heart sank further than it ever had, he wasn't expecting it to be him, but hearing Bakugou say it out loud hurt more than anything.

"I would never date the nerd. He's my best bud!" Midoriya tried his best to muster up a smile.

"Yeah, me and Kacchan are just friends. I bet the person that captured his heart is perfect!" He had the sweetest smile on his face, and no one suspected a thing. Everyone quickly began to discuss it again. Then Kaminari and Mina mentioned Kirishima.

"Oh my god. Do you think it's Kiri?" Kaminari whispered to Mina. "I literally think it is. I'm saying it!" Kaminari tried his best to hold her back. "No, you can't!"

"Is it Kirishima?" Mina said with definitely not an inside voice, and all the sudden everyone froze and Bakugou's face lit up red.

"Oh my lord it is! Guys he likes Kiri!"

"Oh my-" Everyone said in unison except for Midoriya, he had left to go outside long ago. He walked out and walked towards the lake near the dorm building and sat down. Noticing Midoriya leaving, Todoroki quietly followed. In the next hour everyone inside had planned out Bakugou's confession to Kirishima.

"Hey, I know you're there, Shoto." Midoriya said as he stared into the moonlit water.

"Why did you leave?" Todoroki asked as he walked and sat next to Midoriya.

"It got a little stuffy in there." His voice cracked as he talked.

"Is something the matter?"

"I thought I was special. He was never nice to anyone else except me, I thought I had a chance." Midoriya couldn't hold it in anymore, the first tears dropped, and more followed.
