After lunch, Sam and Samantha went to Biology, while Jack walked me to Spanish.

The whole time my chest was tight. Every time he asked me something, or even spoke at all I was afraid to speak out of fear that I might sound like a dying whale.

"So you have a car?" He asked me.

"Yeah, why? Want me to ride you?"

He looked at me wide eyed.

"I mean, ride you home. No, shit. I mean." I sighed out of frustration. "Do you need a ride home?"

He laughed hard, and had to stand against the wall to catch his breath.

I felt like shit. I started to walk away from the awkward moment to go die in a hole, when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"No, wait." He said to me, making me stop and look into those brown eyes. He spoke again, getting the message that I didn't want to speak anymore. "Yeah, a ride home would be cool. My car is fucked anyway right now, so that'd be cool."

I smiled and nodded my head.

"Okay, I'm on the west wing." I informed him.

"Cool, see you after school." He waved me bye, and I entered my Spanish class.

I honestly couldn't wait until 8th period was over. I was sitting there in Astronomy, waiting for the afternoon bell to ring. And as soon as it did, I couldn't have gotten up fast enough. I beat traffic, enough to meet up with Samantha.

"Sam is at your car, he parked his bike next to you." She informed me.

I guess Sam's bike was ready. Maybe that's why he didn't ask me for a ride this morning.

"Okay, you need a ride home?" I asked, with just a little hope she would say no.

"Naah, Sam's giving me a ride. We have this Biology project, and faggot Mr. Bush made us partners." She said with her best eye roll.

"Oh, damn. That sucks." I replied, not really caring to be honest.

"Yeah, so we're going over to my house to work." Her face said said the complete opposite.

"You mean attempted murder." I reassured her.

"Something like that." She laughed, and we started walking to the west wing of the school.

Once my car was in view, I saw Jack waiting next to Sam. He was leaning against my car. He was wearing a black T-shirt, just tight enough to conform to his toned body. Seeing the veins pop out on his arms sent chills down my back. Those arms, wrapped around me. I closed my eyes at the thought, and soon opened when I arrived at my car. Jack smiled at my arrival. I smiled at him, and hoped there wouldn't be any mistakes this time when we're alone.

"I saw Jack in the hallway. We walked here together." Sam spoke up at the silence.

"That's cool." I replied to Sam.

"Well, we're gunna go now. See you tomorrow Blake." Samantha said hugging me.

"Bye. Bye Sam." I waved at him. They got on Sam's bike, and she wrapped her arms around his waist with a nauseated look on her face. She smiled when she noticed I was looking at her. She mouthed, "Kill me now." I laughed loudly, enough for Sam to ask, "What?"

"Nothing. See you later faggs." I said loudly, as they took off.

Jack waved at them as they rode off, and Sam nodded his head. Finally. They were gone.

"So, ready to go?" I asked, turning to him.

"Yeah. Of course." He smiled at me, turning around to get to the passenger side.

Once I sat down, and put the key into ignition, the radio was blaring. Jack jumped, and I hurriedly turned it off. He laughed, and then turned it back on.

"It's cool. I love The Weeknd." He stated.

I smiled at our common taste in music. He turned it down just enough so I could hear him. I put pressure on the gas, and we were off. We were listening to The Zone with Drake. The song made me smile, and I flashed back to lunch this afternoon, as I watched him chew his granola bar. Slowly. I looked over at him, just as we were about to exit school grounds. He was singing along. He turned my way, and turned red.

"Sorry, I know I'm bad."

"No, not at all. It was pretty amazing." I said reassuring him.

"Thanks." He stated, smiling.

"So, where do you live.?"

"Oh, yeah. Liverpool."

I nodded and headed in that direction.
