CHAPTER ONE, MIA'S POV.: I raced down the stairs, my wavy brown hair flying behind me. Once I arrived at the bottom of the stairs, my green eyes darted around the parlor. My good friend, George, promised he would be here soon to pick me up. We were going to the Cavern, a club where him and his mates played. They called themselves the Quarrymen. George was very talented, handsome, and well.... I wish we were more than friends. But of course, thats all we will ever be. Just friends.
GEORGES POV.: I adjusted my leather jacket and took a deep breath. Here I was, standing in front of Mia's door. She was my best friend, and I had been here a thousand times before, but recently, I realised I fancied her. I knocked on the door, and Mia immediatly opened it. She looked beautiful in her navy pencil skirt and lace blouse. "H-hello!" she greeted me, smiling. I waved hi and stepped in. "You look nice." I said. "Thanks!" she replied. We awkwardley stood in the doorway for a couple minutes. Tonight I was going to ask her out, but that was later. I looked at her and she looked back, a huge grin on her face. "Shall we go then?" she asked. I nodded and gestured for her to go out the door. "Fab!" she exclaimed and I laughed at her excitment. We walked over to my fathers car, I had forgetten he was waiting for us. I was 16, but he still wouldnt let me drive. I opened the car door for her without saying a word, and she got in the car and so did I. My father looked back at us. "How are you, dear?" he asked. "Oh, I'm great, thank you very much. And you, sir?" she asked. How polite. "Good, good, very good." he muttered, and then drove away. I noticed Mias had was extremly close to mine, and I couldnt help but hold it. She looked up at me, blushing. I smiled shyly in return. Then she looked back out the window, her hand in mine.
