"When I first saw you

From across the room

I could tell that you were curious"

- Perfect One Direction

Sunday night Taylor and Max came over to Harper and I's apartment for our "Going away Party". It was less of a party and more of the four packing the last minute stuff while drinking wine and talking about the memories we made in this apartment.

"Do you guys remember that one time where y/n came home with that one dude who ended up being her ex's father?" Max teased

"Oh god don't remind me of that!" I sighed with my head in my hands.

"How did you not know he was his father? They were practically twins!"

"It was over a year after we broke up and I never met his parents. All I knew about his parents is that they were divorced. Can we please talk about something less traumatic than this?" I begged

"What is with you and older men?" Max questioned while laughing.

"All guys our age want is sex and I would rather have a relationship with someone instead of a one night stand. Also older men know how to give you an orgasm unlike guys our age." I answered.

"You're not wrong there y/n." Taylor agreed.

"Thank you. Now, can we please talk about something else?" I pleaded.

"Okay fine. Let's talk about what it's going to be like without you guys around." Max said.

"Hey, we are still going to be around, we will just be a phone call away." Harper said.

"I know, but Sunday coffee isn't going to be the same without you guys." Taylor said.

"I know, we will miss you guys too." I said for Harper and I.

We spent the rest of the night talking, packing and drinking wine. We said our final goodbye in the morning at the airport. It was hard leaving the only place I've ever known and moving somewhere I've never even been. The only thing I know for certain is that this is a new chapter in my life.

Monday consisted of flying and getting ready to start working at the BAU. The nerves didn't kick in until Tuesday morning. I was scared that I wasn't going to make a good impression or that I wouldn't fit in with the team. It was the stupid kind of nerves that kicked in on Tuesday.

I was up before the sun rose and I was exhausted, so I hopped in the shower to hopefully wake me up more. After that I got ready in my new work clothes that Harper and I bought on Saturday. I grabbed my go bag that Strauss told Harper and I to have ready in case there was an out of state case that we had to go to. I walked into the kitchen and put the coffee on for Harper and I. Neither of us are morning people and coffee's the only way we can make it through the day.

"Coffee's on! Grab your bag and get your ass out here now or we are going to be late!" I yelled to Harper.

"I'm coming! Jeez can't you just be quiet in the morning like everyone else?" Harper complained.

"No one is quiet in the morning. Plus, would you rather us be late on our first day?" I argued.

"Okay you have a point there. I wouldn't want to be late on our first day in the BAU." Harper agreed with me.

We poured our coffees into our travel mugs, grabbed our go bags and headed out to my car. We drove for about 15 minutes until we made it to Quantico. We made it through security and were given our badges fairly quickly, then headed to the elevator, but it was closing so Harper and I yelled out for the person inside to hold it. This tall, bald, handsome black man put his hand out in front of the elevator doors to stop them from closing.
