Chapter Five

Astrea's POV~

After Ciphur left, I returned to my own home. To which my friend Simon was stood there, leaning against the doorframe. "Meet someone special, Astrea?" Fuck. I don't know how he could have known my location. "How did you-" "I was trailing you. I saw and heard everything. And I shall be turning you into the head council." Simon's eyes were filled with anger. I quickly got out of his grasp and flew off as fast as I could. As I got to the gates of hell I heard the sirens of heaven sound off. 'I'm fucked!' I thought to myself. My only hope was to find Ciphur.. I flew in the shadows as much as I could. My white and gold wings making it difficult. I somehow found Ciphur's home, and I proceeded to knock on his window. "What the.. Who's there!?" As soon as he saw my wide eyes, he knew what was happening. "Tweetie-bird, get inside." And with that, I crawled in through the window.

Ciphur's POV~

I let Astrea in through my bedroom window and sat her onto the bed, I could see her shaking. It could only be one thing, someone saw us. "Astrea I promise you, you're safe here. I won't let the council get you." I kissed her forehead gently and I could see her relax instantly, which made me smile. "Wait here. I'll go make you tea." I go to my kitchen and make a cup of rose mint tea. I came back to see her exploring my bedroom a bit. "Your room is comforting, I would've have expected that from... Well a demon." I simply chuckle and give her the tea. I decided to get my feelings off my chest sooner rather than later. "Astrea.. I know it's relatively soon.. but I feel as if I have known you my whole life. When I saw you, something in me clicked. I got flashbacks of childhood, playing with an angel. And she was you. Astrea I'm in love with you. As forbidden as it is we will make this work. That is... If you'll have me.."

Astrea's POV~

"That is... If you'll have me.." I'm at a loss for words. All of a sudden, a flood of memories come rushing back to me. Of playing with a little demon boy, planning a future. My eyes fill with tears as I collapse, Ciphur comes down to me and holds me "I'm so sorry Astrea.. I meant no-" With that, I kiss him deeply suddenly. He holds me tight and returns the kiss with equal passion. "C-ciphur I remember... And I love you too... That must be why the council is after me. Because they know of our past.." "I promise you Tweetie-bird, I won't let them take you from me again. I'm here, always and forever." He kisses me one more time, only to be interupted by loud banging on the door. "COUNCIL OF HEAVEN, OPEN UP IMMEDIATELY!" Oh no.. they found me..
