"Ah... Where... Am I?"
The guy tried standing up, and he slowly but steadily was able to. He felt weak, so he took a deep breath and looked down. He looked at his black and golden shoes, and was able to remember a bit of what had happened before he arrived here.
"Oh, wait. Diiran brought me here, right?"
"Yep, he did."
"Eh!? What the..."
He heard a voice that sounded exactly like his, but he didn't understand where it came from. It felt like it was inside his head, for he could hear it perfectly from all directions. He was a bit confused about that, but he mainly focused on trying to find an exit to the dark room he was in.
"I guess I'll deal with... Um, whatever you were, later. First, I have to get out of here."
He started looking around, and saw an interesting light really far away. He decided to walk towards it, but he still felt a bit dizzy.
"Come on, Eli. Keep your balance, keep your- AH!"
He tripped on his own foot and fell to the ground. He fell head first, and it was a pretty tough fall.
"Fuck! That hurt! Wait- AH!" Eli covered his mouth. "I- I cursed!? It's been ages since I last did that!"
"That's because that's who you truly are, Eli!"
From within the darkness, a familiar shadow appeared to approach Eli. It was Diiran, an ancient god that had brought him here.
"Oh? Diiran?" Eli wondered.
"The one and only!" Diiran replied. "You cursed because, now that you're a god, you're showing who you are deep inside. It's a normal effect, so I recommend you get used to it."
"Well, let me tell you, I'm not a big fan of that."
"No one is, Eli. No one is."
Diiran lent Eli a hand, and he grabbed it to get up and take another deep breath. He felt a lot more stable now, so he felt like he was able to walk to the light that still looked as small as a dot from where he was.
"So, um... Am I supposed to go all the way there?" Eli asked.
"You could walk there, or you could teleport like the god you are. Duh." Diiran said.
"What? I can do tha-"
As he tried to confirm what he had heard, Diiran teleported away. Eli could see a shadow that now accompanied the light that was still really far away. He knew it meant something, so he gave it a try.
"Alright, um... I guess I, look? Towards where I want to go? And, well, um..."
He just didn't know what to do. There was some things that Diiran didn't tell him because he wanted Eli to figure them out by himself, but he underestimated how long it would take. With that in his mind, he gave him a little tip.
"Gods are known for doing things their own way, Eli!" He screamed from where he was. "Find your own way of getting over here! Make it original!"
"Original, huh?" He thought out loud.
"He indeed said that, dummy."
"Wh- You again!?"
He ignored the voice, and he thought about what he could do to get there. He knew that things related to telepathy weren't his main strength, so he tried to look for another alternative.
"Hmmm... Wait, would that work?"
He had an idea, and there was only one way to figure out if it would work or not. He grabbed, his necklace, lit a bit of fire around it, and he threw it as far as he could. He could see it flying and flying, until it finally touched the ground. He surrounded himself in fire, jumped, and let magic do its thing. Before he could realize, he was exactly above the necklace. It might have been a weird move, but it was actually pretty effective.
"Woah... It actually worked?" He said in disbelief. "It worked! Diiran! I figured it out!"
He expected a response, but he didn't hear anything. He called for his name a few times, but he still didn't see him or hear him around. He turned around, and saw that the light was even further away.
"What? Why?"
"Stupid, you threw it the wrong way."
"I didn't throw it the wrong way. What do you mean?"
"You did. Why do you think you're farther away now?"
He realized the voice was right, and he didn't have the strength or the interest to complain. He just said:
"Oh my fucking god..."
