I look up.
The sky is a uniform neutral gray. There isn't any sun, stars, moon, orclouds in the sky.
It doesn't appear to be night or day.
I feel.. an odd emptiness around me..
I look around.
I am standing on a road lined with buildings made entirely out ofbrick.
The brick buildings appear to be completely featureless, except for door shaped indentations that are occupied, not by a door, but by a thinner brick wall.
I look down.
The road is made entirely of a flat, rough looking, gray stone surface.
I reach my hand out to touch it;It feels completely smooth, contradicting the rough stony appearance.
I take a step.
doomk
A startlingly thick sound rang between the brick buildings as my foot connected with theground.
Slowly, I put one foot in front of the other...
doomk
An equally loud sound came from my footstep.
Looks like there's no point in tiptoeing.
I walk briskly towards one of the "doors" of a building.
Upon closer inspection, the brick texture appears to be offset and disconnected from the main wall;
All of these brick walls appear to start and end between a brick, contradicting the obvious and practical way to build a brick wall.
One would need to shave the sides of a brick wall a bit just to make it look like this.
Who in their right mind would bother to do that? It makes my brain hurt to ponder the point of making it look ugly.
I turn away, hoping for relief from this absurd architecture.
Something catches your eye-!
I turn my head.
A tall, gray humanoid appears out of a nearby turn in the road. It's stalking along the road, apparently completely unaware of me.
The only thing human looking about this figure is its shape. Their body appears to be made of burlap, sewn, and stitched together.
Their body is a slightly light gray, and is completely barren of clothes and features.
Their face is almost identical to a human face; the main difference being that they lacks lips, eyelids, and eyelashes.
