Part One- Ouroboros In The Night
In a dark room stood a tall cypress tree who's branches extended out over a twisted black bassinet. And in the center of this black bassinet cooed the sweet soft sound of a child who was sound asleep. The only light within the room was that of three small fairies that glided and hovered over the child. His ever vigilant protectors, who kept a careful watch over the young child. It was quiet, and all was dark... Just the way it was meant to be. And for that brief moment in time, all was perfect.
And yet, there was another set of young eyes within the room. They belonged to that of a young girl, who herself wasn't much older than the sleeping infant. And although she was only a child too, her eyes were the only ones that could pierce through the thick darkness of the room. She waited intently beside the black bassinet with a young playful smile on her face, rocking it slowly, back and forth.
"Can you hear me Epeboc?" The little girl whispered softly as she peaked over the top of the bassinet.
A soft gentle smile fell upon the child's face. "It is I, your older sister. Welcome my most beloved little brother."
"Shhhh" One of the little fairies replied back quietly, her bright purple hair and skin resembled the beautiful peddles of a clematis flower, while her dark gray armor was similar to the bark of a cherry-wood tree. "You wouldn't want to wake him."
"My father, said that he is mine, Sheena. And plus, I think that I...I." Nyx, paused and gently lifted the corner of a blanket covering the infant's little arms. A small tear rolled down her face and fell onto her brother's forehead.
"I understand," the small fairy replied, landing softly upon the shoulder of the young goddess. The beautiful winged female leaned to the side, cupping her small hands around the much larger ear of the child. "You are in love with little brother," the fairy commented before spotting a large fat beetle crawling up a branch of the cypress. "Ooo, lunch." The fairy announced, before drawing her attention over to the warm meal, that tried inching itself away.
The alluring fairy, was a sight to behold as she caught the beetle in mid flight. Little fingers were topped with small black stingers in replace of fingernails. They pumped out a clear sticky toxin that paralyzed the beetle till it could no longer flap its wings. The fairy then came tumbling to the ground, locked in a barrel roll with the motionless meal, before taking off into the branches of the cypress. A pair of gorgeous, morpho lympharis butterfly wings, flapped out from the center of her back.
The young goddess helplessly watched in disgust, as the fairy snatched the insect, pulling back the beetle's shell. A small mouth filled with razor sharp teeth dove into the back of the bug. "You should really try one, they're delicious," the fairy commented.
"Nope... Umm... I'm good!" The girl nearly gagged as she continued to watch, before refocusing her attention back onto the topic of her little brother.
"Yep, the two of you definitely would make a cute couple," The fairy muffled out, with a mouth full of slimy green guts.
"Who, us? Ewww. He is my little brother," the girl answered back bashfully. But even she knew that she couldn't hide the truth.
"Mmm Hmm... Well, I think that you are an excellent older sister. I just know that the two of you were meant to be companions." Another fairy said as she sat on the side of the bassinet. "After all, you are the night and he is the darkness. The two of you are as poetic as nature, and some things are just meant to be."
The girl playfully turned her head to the side slowly then quickly stuck out her tongue "Blah!" Her and the little fairies began to giggle softly. "All of you know that all this thick heavy black stuff my parents call darkness is just Epeboc farts," the child declared, as the fairies and her kept on giggling.
