Wii loved you (reader x Eteled)

what could go wrong with using an old hard drive you found in the dump

Hi my name is y/n l/n and I always wanted a Will but they were discounted in 2013 and it didn't help much that I live in a very poor household after my dad left for fucking Lynda and her prefect family. But even if we are poor and my mom works almost all hours of the day to make sure we have food and money for bills I make though with dumpster diving in fact I've figured out that the best day to go is one Saturday since the dump trucks come on Sunday and that's when you have the most stuff to find. 

I always loved Nintendo and the history of well just video games in general I was always a very smart kid in school who got my work done quickly so my teachers didn't really mind the fact that I would pull out the computers given to us for school work and start looking up Nintendo history. But my favorite has have to be of the making of the Wii like for example how they wanted to make around the size of two DVDs. I also kept a big box full of anything Nintendo that I find dumpster diving.

The best thing I ever found dumpster diving was a Wii granted it was missing a few parts the main ones being the hard drive and memory disk but still its the closets I ever found but it was better then nothing. I would have dreams about playing the Wii I know that sounds dumb but I had always wanted to play the Wii. 

Today was the day I would go dumpster diving Saturday my favorite day. I was quickly able to find to Wii remotes that's odd why would they-

That's when I found it!

a Wii granted it was almost completely melted but I didn't care I quickly placed it and the remotes in my bag and quickly ran home. Besides I can always come back later for anything else like games for it which was unlikely since they probably solid those but still.

once I was in our tiny home I quickly got a screwdriver and was very easily able to open it up surprised by what I found.

Almost the whole inside was melted but luckily everything I needed was still there. I grabbed this old picture I printed out with everything I would need and where to place it so very carefully. After a few minutes I was able to get everything set up double checking everything. 

When I connected it to my tv and turned my tv on there was only static I quickly sighed great I messed something up or was missing something I was about to look back at the melted Wii when it quickly turned to the Wii page. I quickly jumped up in joy and semi yelled "Yes!". I grabbed the Wii remotes from my bag.

I saw that there was Wii sports I was also drawn to the mii maker so I decide to quick it before going back to the dump to try and find more games for it if there were any. When it loaded I was shocked when there was a mii of course there be at least one mii this was someone's old Wii after all.

"w-what how am I- how did you?", I heard the mii asked clearly surprised.

"dude this is so cool first I was able to fix a Wii and now I'm meeting a talking mii my name is y/n how about you!" I stated this has to be the new best day of my life.

"Eteled and what do you mean by the whole fixing this Wii", he asked me clearly still in shock by this.

"simple I had this other Wii for a bit with a few missing parts and replaced them with this melted Wii's parts that weren't melted and luckily it seems like everything is working well other then you a talking mii but meh I find meeting you to be much cooler then anything else that could have happen", I remarked with a smile I was so happy I actually did this I knew that I was smart about computers and what not that was one of the few things my dad wasn't wrong about!

"huh I guess we are both luckily then so um quick question where did you find this Wii?", Eteled asked me clearly thinking about something.

"Simple I found it when I was dumpster diving these two Wii's are my best finds though most of the time I just find junk well other then this one other thing", I responded clearly hoping that he would ask me what I was talking about.

"what I would expect finding well knowing how much the Wii was melted one all most completely good Wii would be pretty nice-", he started to trial off while I quickly grabbed the box under my bed full of my old Nintendo stuff and carefully picking up what was lying on the top.

"its a real life R.O.B can you believe it do you know how much these sell for", I quickly exclaimed to my new friend.

"huh cool and um no I don't" Eteled noted towards me.

"heh nether do I we aren't really supposed to search that kind of stuff up at school and well I want to stay that good kid you know to do research during school", I answered the question not really knowing the answer myself.

"huh um quick question what year is it?", Eteled asked me.

"2021! 15 years after these bad boys came out!" I answered his question with a smile man I'm talking to a mii huh kinda funny.

"huh its really been 15 years already, anyways think you could keep a promise for me", Eteled questioned me.

"sure I'm the best at keeping Promises!"

"please promise not to delete me."

"Don't worry I promise I won't delete you".

I checked the quickly and realized that we had already been talking for a hour, great a hour I could have used to get more things from the dump.

"hey I need to go Eteled gotta see if there's anything else cool in the dump but probly nothing as cool as this", I gave myself a little chuckle at that well no not myself I chucked with Eteled.

"Oh okay when do you think you be back?", he asked me.

"who's know there's a lot of stuff today so it might take me a few hours but hopefully I be back before night after all its still pretty early in the morning", I answered his question.

"okay well see you soon", He remarked.

"yeah see you soon to Eteled", I finished the conversation with a smile.

I turned off the Wii and grabbed my bag and put it on. This bag was fairly large for a hand bag but it was perfect for this kind of stuff, I quickly walked out of my room and then out of the house after that I was back to where I would dumper dive.

I did find a few things like a sweat shirt and a few other cool things but nothing as great as the Wii. It became night quicker then what I originally thought heh it was kinda funny to me.

I quickly got back home after it became dark and made myself a tv dinner and went to my room with my dinner. I turned on the tv and Wii and quickly went back to the mii channel to talk more with my friend.

"Hey Eteled sorry it took longer then I expected", I remarked with a small laugh.

"its okay I get it doing something you like it can take more time then you ever realized", Eteled responded to me.

"meh I wouldn't say that I like it I just do it to get stuff since my mom only have enough money to pay for bills and food so that's how I get most of my things", I sated, I never found this as not being normal I only had a few things left from before that traitor left me and my mom for stupid Lynda.

I guess I was showing a face of anger since Eteled asked me "hey you okay?"

"just thinking about perfect little old Lynda who that traitor of a man left me and mom for".

"oh um I'm sorry about that I um had a bad childhood as well", Eteled responded to me.

"I'm sorry"

"its okay besides its been years ago we can't change the past", He seemed to yell out that last part oddly loud like he was trying to make sure someone else would hear it.

"hey I should go to sleep now but I talk to you tomorrow okay", I said realizing the time at this point.

"huh oh yeah see you tomorrow y/n", Eteled responded.

I turned off the Wii and unplugged it since I had to make sure not to use to much power.

I quickly changed into some night cloths and got into bed still thinking about Eteled.
