People might say that hell is the worse place to end up in. Burning souls, ripping flesh and scorching grounds, one wish to never even get a glimpse of it. However, Ara has come to the conclusion that being stuck in a car with her best friend and her one-night fling for a whole damn hour is far worse than hell itself. After having a long sentimental conversation with her mom, Ara is beyond exhaustion now and dried of tears. Leaving her mom behind is the most painful thing she had ever done. It tore her apart to see her mom shed happy tear when she told her white lies about traveling for a university research and stated that her and Jimin won't be around for a long time. Even Jungkook couldn't give her an estimated time to patch up the painful white lies. One could only hope that they make it out alive.
During the long dreadful and silent car ride, Ara had the entire backseat to herself as Jimin insisted that she get some good rest before the hectic journey begins. Though Jungkook scowled at both of them for almost leaving a scratch on his leather seat, he surprisingly stayed silent throughout the whole ride and not even bringing up how Ara savagely left him back there. Having to occupy the front seat right beside a mafia's assassin, Jimin kept his mouth shut too even though he was quite irritated after Ara briefly complained on how Jungkook treated her and the fact that they slept together and how he almost killed her the next morning. They had a safe journey to the brothers' headquarters yet nothing felt right in the car. Just pure tension and tiredness.
"We're here", Jungkook announces as he drives pass a double gate and down a short pathway before stopping in front of a massive mansion that curves around the mini roundabout where the car stops. As the Sun is setting, the mansion lit itself up with warm lights that shows off it's stunning interior and gardens. The roof is flat with balconies that are as spacious as bedrooms and each of them are occupied by garden, outdoor dining area, bars and pool and a big ass grass area probably for some big gatherings. "It's a 16,000 square feet mansion with two basement floors, a ground floor and two upper floors", Jungkook nonchalantly said as he passes the car key to a jockey and lead the duo into the maze-like mansion.
"16,000 square feet for four men?! Are you keeping a pet lion in there?", Ara scoffs in disbelief as Jimin drags her into the mansion. Although this mansion sure is mind-devouring, Jimin keeps his mind straight at his goal and hopes to see the laboratory in the house that Seok Jin promised along with a few other things. Time is of the essence and he can't afford to waste a minute from staring at the front gate so he keeps Ara close to him and prevent her from straying off into this mansion which will definitely eats up his time again.
Surprisingly, Jungkook lets out a genuine chuckle at the girl's remark and shakes his head, "no but we often have family gathering here. The Gangnam Kim is partially family business and anyone working under the brothers are considered one too". The tattooed man leads the duo deeper into the mansion's ground floor (which is much deeper and larger than what they've seen) where the living room, dining room, kitchen, bar and lots of human-sized Bearbrick are. Of course there are more things and areas located there but Ara wasn't able to stop and ask about them as her best friend was taking big stride towards who-knows-where.
"And the lab? Seok Jin said he had a lab set up here in the house so the Gangnam Kim could keep us closer and safer", Jimin asked while softly swatting Ara's hands away from a diamond Bearbrick which probably costs both their rent money. She always has the habit of touching everything that intrigues her and being the touchy type also means she'll someday get into trouble when she finally touches something bad but luckily, she has her best friend here to stop her. "Impatient, I see", a voice sounded from behind them and made them turn back where a tall man in formal attire smiles at them with dimples dipping his cheeks in.
"Kim Namjoon, the second brother of Gangnam Kim", the beautiful man dips his head at the guests and approaches them with a grin. He shakes Jimin's hand and pecks Ara's, earning to soft tsk from Jungkook from behind. He's quite intrigued by the lady considering how much trouble she had indirectly caused over the short spent of time. Just one night with his youngest brother and she's now living under their roof with the last name of Doctor Rae, the head of scientist of a forbidden research. The great impact she has can not be misjudged or ignored for she has caused a quick sway within the Gangnam Kim.
