"Okay well, try being in MY spot for a change and THEN come tell me if it's being a dick, I can't control what I feel and do, Tommy! It's the way my pregnancy is!" Adam told me as he glared at me for a moment and looked back on his phone. "Cause it's a lot tougher then how you see it." He finished and I wrapped my arms around his arms and laid my head on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, Adam, really I am. I guess this whole baby thing is getting to me, you know? It's quite unusual how some guy can get pregnant even though he can't cause of human physic, but, we've worked our ways to try and be great fathers of our kids, you know that, don't you?" I apologized to him about the babies and told him we've worked our ways to become great fathers, and he didn't glaze up from his phone and I sighed at his reaction.
"Adam, can you please look at me?" I asked him, trying to make him look at me but he didn't and gazed at his phone. I got annoyed and gripped on his chin and made him look at me. "Adam, I'm sorry! Why can't you just look at me and accept my forgiveness?" I asked him, trying to get him to look at me but he just ignored me and looked at his phone. I became aggravated and scoffed lightly at him. "You know what? Forget it. You aren't listening and you're trying to avoid talking which can make you feel better but you rather do it the hard way." I told him, giving him a suggestion, and got under the covers and closed my eyes.
"Good night." I told him falling asleep, I tried going to sleep but couldn't because of what's on my mind. I felt the bed move a little and felt it getting a little bit lighter as Adam got out of the bed and headed to the bathroom. The water ran for a few minutes and assumed Adam was probably either washing his face or getting ready to go to bed, I heard him murmur some things and figured he was upset about our fight.
I tossed and turned trying to get the noise out of my head because I have so much in my mind right now but that didn't work at all, I got underneath my pillow and tried blocking the noise but that didn't help either.
I groaned to myself in aggravation and grabbed my bed earmuffs and put them on to block the noise, I hate how they feel whenever I sleep, because of how uncomfortable they felt whenever I moved, but they do their magic as always. I finally drifted off to sleep afterwards and got my sleep.
Next morning.
Tommy's pov:I woke up to the sound of water coming down from the bathroom and figured Adam was taking a shower or so, because he always does whenever he wakes up. I removed the covers from my body and twisted my waist to my left and checked my phone when I got up. '8:36' the clock on my phone was, and I groaned as I saw the sunshine barging in from the giant window.
Adam must've gotten up a few minutes ago, he starts singing different lyrics whenever he first goes in the shower, which is cute, I have to admit. That's so him!
I got off my bed and walked to the main room of the bus and fixed myself something to drink. I heard Ashley's door open and saw her come in with her casual lingerie outfit she always wears and had her hair up in a ponytail.
"Morning Ash." I greeted her as she walked in, she was still half-asleep so she could barely walk.
"Morning Tommy." She groggily greeted me and sat on the kitchen seat. "Where's Adam?"
"He's taking a shower, he and I just woke up. Well, I just woke up, he woke up before me." I told her as I grabbed the orange juice out and food out to fix everyone.
"Did you guys have a fight last night? Because Monte and I were just talking in his room and we heard some aggressive noises." She asked me about last night.
"Y-Yeah, well, not a fight really, but Adam got mad and offended at me because I was telling him to cool off his emotions and all but he wouldn't listen." I told her, still upset about it.
"Well, Tommy, what did you think was going to happen for a girl or guy in this case whenever they're pregnant?" Ashley asked me and I shrugged.
"I was actually hoping it would be okay and there wouldn't be no screaming or anything."
"Well, some girls are like that, but almost every girl who's pregnant isn't that way. It's not their fault they're emotional or cranky, it's their hormones. They get crazy when they're pregnant and there's nothing they or even their partners can do. You may just have to live with it for the next few months, or days as about now." Ashley explained to me about pregnancy and I thought about it and nodded in agreement.
"You're right, I guess I was just being a little selfish." I told her.
"You weren't being selfish, you were confused and nervous about this whole pregnancy thing. Every couple is nervous when pregnancy comes along, it's a natural response." Ashley told me smiling and I smiled back and let out a small chuckle.
"Adam will be the same as before, won't he?" I asked her.
"Yes. I meant to tell you guys about that. After you and Adam talk and work things out, I'll tell you both what I figured out so far." She told me and I hugged her.
"Thanks Ash." I thanked her and she hugged back.
"You're welcome, Tommy." She responded and I heard the bathroom door open and saw Adam only in his towel, I sighed nervously as I saw him but Ashley gave me a little encouraging push. "Just go on and tell him what I've just told you." She told me as she pushed me. Adam saw us and gave us a confused stare
"But what if he doesn't listen?" I nervously asked her.
"I'll be right here watching." She told me and I started walking to him. He noticed me walking slowly towards him and stood in position.
"G-Good morning, babe." I greeted him and he just stood there with his phone in hand.
"What do you have to say now?" He harshly asked me.
"Okay look, don't speak or do anything, just listen, please." I told him but he didn't look convinced.
"Is this gonna be another lecture about my emotions?" He asked me, reminding me of last night.
"Just let him talk, Adam!" I heard Ashley tell Adam and I nodded at her and glared back at Adam.
"I was being selfish with you about your emotions." I started off and heard Ashley face palm herself and saw Adam nodding.
"I can't disagree with that."
"But I also learned that you can't help your emotions when your pregnant because it wasn't your fault or your blame for the crazy emotions." I also pointed out and Adam nodded.
"Exactly. Anything else?" He waited for me to answer back.
"But here's the thing, I was nervous and confused about all of this so of course I'm gonna comment on those kind of things because I don't know about them." I told him.
"What about when your mom was pregnant with your sister?"
"I was only 4, Adam. And you know her and I never talked about those things, and god knows my own father wouldn't discuss any of that with me. So, I had kind of a reason to act the way I did, because I never figured out or knew what to do. But, now that I have someone as close as you and Ashley, I can finally learn about those kinds of things." I told him and sighed, I walked closer to him and cupped his face. "But I would NEVER say anything to make you mad or get offended, I just didn't know what to do." I told him and waited for him to respond.
