Ben left the restaurant feeling small, he was indeed put in his place. He thought that banging another girl wud get his mind back on track, but half way into his past excitement he pushed the drunk chick off of him and stormed to his friends house. James, a good pal of Ben was the one he would go to if in any problem, James knew exactly what to say. James was a lot like Ben, but he settled down after finding the love of his life.
James: sup bro
Without even returning the hello Ben started ranting on about his situation with Jillian and how it was messing with his mind. James took in everything his best friend was saying and then gave him a knowingly smile and said "it's time brotha"
Ben: the hell u mean its time?
James: well, it's as plain as day, this girl is obviously on ur mind and clearly has the ability that no other girl has had with u, which is to get to ur head.
Ben: ur not making sense..
James looked at Ben amusingly and shook his head.
James: do u like this girl?
Ben laughed uncontrollably at this but after looking at his friends serious face, he stopped.
Ben: no, u no me! I don't settle down, I'm not that kinda guy, I get bored easily.
James: yet u came to my house looking like a lost little girl telling me about Jillian, bro, u even remembered this ones name! Nigguh!! It's loooveee ( he exaggerated)
Ben: love? Let's not push it..but ok maybe I like this girl.
James then nodded approvingly and started reminding Ben that he himself was just like him but managed to finally settle down with his girlfriend Sasha when Ben shushed him and impatiently asked him what to do. James furrowed his brows.
James: when last did u talk to her?
Ben: 3 days ago.
James: well what are u waiting for..call her, apologize, ask her to start over tell her---
Ben: wo wo wo! Calm down (he said with a chuckle) I'm so not going to make a fool of myself bro.
James: do u wanna be with this girl or naw?
Ben: I do! (He said quickly)
James: well put pride aside and do whatever it takes to make her re-like u.
Ben: I'll try but I doubt I'm capable of being a good bf..
James: (he smiled) take it slow with her, tell her she's pretty, hold her hand, take her out, console her when she needs it, be her friend, make her feel important and most importantly, bro, show her that u care.
Ben: aww sh@t! just by listening to u my manliness is degrading.
James: no, Ben u have it all wrong, I told u nonsense in the past, hear me out now, I know what I am saying. Having someone to love and who loves u back is the greatest feeling and to know deep down that she depends on u, thinks of u as her knight in shining armor..makes u my friend, feel like a man. Ben, u aren't happy, I've watched u, and honestly, I think u should go after this girl. You two just met but I know u have the ability to make something of the two of u.
*Ben sat in silence and then voice out "ur right, imma go after her".

Three days of non stop 'I told u so's' by Madison and Nathalie had passed, and in Jillian's case, annoyed was an understatement. She couldn't help but still feel physically attracted to Ben, but deep down she knew what the right thing to do was, she had to avoid this bad boy. He was trouble in its best fashion, with his sleek brown hair daring brown eyes, tall stature and muscular built. She couldn't help but want to be with him physically..but could he be her shoulder to cry on? Her hand to hold onto? Her Forever? Realistically speaking, he couldn't, he was in no shape at all really for such commitment.
On the fourth day, Jill picked up the phone and to her surprise, a familiar husky voice said hello. Ben!?!? She said in audibly. However, he still heard her.
Ben: yh..umm it's he..I know I'm the last person on this earth that u wud wanna hears voice, but I gotta admit..your words had me thinking.
Jill tried her best to sound as nonchalant as possible.
Jill: wow..and it took u four days and twenty sluts later to figure out that my words made some..at least some sense? U know? Ben I hand it to u, ur a heck of a guy. (She said sarcastically)
Ben: look, I don't do this much, and this is a one time offer. U wanna do this again? Start fresh..see where this..well umm whatever this is can go?
Jill was shocked of the words that Ben just uttered but didn't want to give in too easily, she was afraid of being hurt.
Ben: please answer, I know we don't know each other well but I'm willing to make a change in myself, I like u.
Jill: listen! I'm not gonna just jump into ur arms like tht! Ur no saint and I know exactly wht u want, go get it from someone else, on the night I played along with u I wasn't in my right mind, I'm not that kind of girl. Ur wasting ur time, later Ben.
Ben wasn't shocked at Jill's retort, he knew he was in for a fight. He felt angered but tried to keep it together, James was right, Ben did indeed want love someday and if this is it, he was willing to fight for it.
Ben: look, I'm sorry, but just give me a Chance, I'm new to this but I wanna try. I want to be happy, I wanna make u happy!
Jill felt tears come to her eyes, she couldn't help but say yes.
Jill: ok, I guess I'll give it another shot, but if u ever come with ur monkey bidniz again, ur out!
Yessss!! Ben felt ecstatic
Ben: u won't regret it babe. So lemme start this off..
Ben hung up. Jill felt as if the convo was a tease but to her surprise, Ben called back and his words made her century.
Ben: so this is my starting over.. Hey I'm Ben, wanna be my girlfriend? (Happiness is evident in his tone)
Jill laughed and said " wow how cheesy Ben, but u know what? I'd love to be ur girlfriend ;)
