Flashback 2019
A now sixteen-year-old Jaxson Adamson was sitting on a worn wooden bench outside Phoenix High School. His uniform was neatly pressed, the white dress shirt tucked into his black trousers, his black blazer was thrown carelessly across the bench, and his green and white striped tie hung around his neck.
He wore a rather intense expression on his face as he was deeply engrossed with the AP History textbook laid on the bench before him.
His black backpack was thrown across the table, and his notebooks and stationery were scattered around him, hinting at the intensity of his study session. He had one of the pen caps lodged between his lips and wore a rather serious expression. He occasionally glances up to observe the serene environment around him.
His face relaxes as he sees his cousin Miguel approaching the bench."Hey Jaxson, are you coming to my party tonight?" Miguel asked his cousin as he sat beside him.
"No, I can't, my mom is not in Arizona and it's my dad's football night with his friends so I'll have to stay home and watch Jaime," Jaxson said as he closed the History book.
"Bummer, Jaime is fourteen she can take care of herself. Besides, she's old enough to tag along anyways," Miguel said with a shrug.
"My parents insist that I stay with her and even if I didn't have to watch her I still have to study for finals next week, so I was going to come either way," the younger of the two boys said.
"Boo you, you're no fun," Miguel whined
"Sorry, maybe next time,"

It was now lunchtime, and Jaxson was in the school's lunchroom with his two best friends, Channing Woods and Jared Rivera, enjoying His lunchtime.
"Are you guys going to the party at Miguel's tonight?" Jaxson asked as he pulled his History textbook from the bag once more.
"Of course, dude, Miguel's parties are always gnarly," Jared said with a wide grin.
"I'm grounded, so I can't," Channing told his friends with an embarrassed expression on his face.
"What the hell did you do now, Channing?"
"I crashed my dad's car into the wall out front our house accidentally and now I'm grounded for a month," a deep tint appeared on his cheeks as he explained the situation to his two friends.
Jaxson chuckled at his friend's words, "Chastain didn't tell me about that. That's completely unlike her," he said.
"Speaking of Chastain, how's it going between the two of you? She told me that you got into an argument," Channing told Jaxson.
