Tension filled the air as a group of 5 boys crowded around the front door of an old house in the middle of nowhere. Crops filled the flat terrain all around this isolated building. Patches of trees could easily be spotted among miles and miles of never ending farmland.
"Why are you leaving?" The angry leader questioned.
"How the hell can I stay here when that psychopath is out there slaughtering people?!" Baekhyun shouted back, earning glares from other members.
"We have to stay together as one! It's safer to be in a group so we can watch each other's back! We are Exo, we are one... remember?" Suho argued, but it was no use, he couldn't do anything about the mess in front of him.
Baekhyun scoffed. "6 of them already left and Sehun is dead, what 'one' are you talking about?" He said and felt his eyes moistening up at the mention of his colleague.
"That's why we can't lose you too, Baekhyun, please, just stay until IT leaves us alone..." Chanyeol sobbed, tugging at Baekhyun's sleeve.
"Sorry Chanyeol, I, I can't, I'll go crazy... I promise you guys I'll be back here. I just need some time to myself right now." Baekhyun apologized and picked up his suitcase. He opened the heavily armed metal door and stepped out of the safe house.
"Promise you'll be back!" Kai yelled after him.
"I promise..." Baekhyun lied and glanced at his friends one last time before leaving them, forever.
Everyone was scared. Things went wrong on that night when Luhan and Sehun went to the park for that girl. They were too careless, too careless about her dark powers.
After that tragedy, Suho, with the four remaining members decided to hide until the situation calms down while Kris, leading Exo-M, escaped to the United States, hoping to outrun IT.
Back to Baekhyun who headed for the train station. He planned on going to his grandma's little cottage down at the countryside and regain his sanity. After that, he decided to move to either China or Japan and start a new life under a new identity.
Sitting on the brown leather like seats of the moving train, he looked out the window at the beautiful scenery stretching miles before his eyes.
Time passed slowly as the train neared its destination... Baekhyun wondered if IT had observed his every step from the shadows, waiting for a chance to slash his throat, like it did to Sehun... Cold sweat formed in his palm as he glanced at the passengers around him.
Everyone looked suspicious to him, their eyes filled with blood lust. Keeping his distance, Baekhyun prayed silently in his head for safety and comfort.
Baekhyun let out a sigh of relief as he exited the train station. Everything had so far sailed smoothly, there didn't seem to be any danger lurking around. The sun shined brightly on the cloudless blue sky, the birds sang on branches and occasionally, bunnies could be spotted on the green field that spread miles around him. Everything seemed peaceful, too peaceful.
After the journey of the train, it was time for a little marathon walk to his grandma's house. Taking out his cellphone, Baekhyun dialed his grandma's house number and waited for someone to pick up.
"Hello?" The voice of an elderly woman answered.
"Grandma? It's me, Baekhyun. I just got off the train and is making my way there right now," he said with a smile on his face, happy to hear his beloved grandma’s voice again.
"That's great sonny. Get here quickly, I haven't seen you in a long time," his grandmother said eagerly in delight.
Baekhyun smiled to himself and replied, "I will be there in roughly 20 minutes, see you soon grandma."
