*Cassie's POV*

Today was my birthday. I was now 16. I skipped grade 4, and did grade 5 instead. That's why I'm not 17. Sweet 16, Pfft, Yeah. Not for me. Matt appeared at the door at 5am and gave me flowers and a gift. I opened the gift while we sat on the porch. It was a silver necklace. With a heart and key on the chain. When you opened the heart with the key, it showed a picture of me and him on our first date. I smiled and hugged him. This was the best gift I had got so far. It was about to get better. Matt had planned a huge party for me, and not just any party. Like a 12th grade rave. I was suprized. He was a little too sweet.

*Matt's POV*

Cassie was going to love her party. Little did she know that me and Luke invited about half the high school. We were having her party at a nearby beach, so I knew she would love it. "Matt!" My mom called from the kitchen. "Mom! Im busy! What do you want?" I yelled from my room, liked yelled. "Sorry hun! I just wanted to ask, what colour icing did you want on Cassies cake?" I already told her but she must have forgotten. "Either blue or red, doesnt matter, which ever one we have!" I opened my contacts on my phone and called Luke. "Hey man, whats up?" "Hey Luke, what time is Cassies birthday party again?" "4. Why?" "Oh, No reason, Bye" "Bye bye" I hung up and walked over to my bed. I looked over at my clock. It was only 1:39. I started talking to my self. "What am I gonna do for 3 hours?" I walked over to my closet and picked out what I was going to wear to the party. A tux would be too fancy, a t-shirt and shorts is too casual. I went with a striped long sleeve and jeans. I layed them on the sink in the bathroom. I turned on the tap of the shower and stepped in. The warm water soothed my stress I had for what was coming up. Once I was done, I looked at the clock and it was 3:30. Half an hour before the party.
