Today is the day when Peter will finally talk to Y/N. He has been watching them ever since he saw them working in Dad's Damn Dinner. He immediately understood that it's them, but it seemed like the player hasn't played the game yet.

As his mother told him: "You'll recognize the player by their eyes. It's like that saying that eyes are the mirror of the person's soul, you know? You'll know that they are different from others just by the look of them."

As much as Peter hated his mother, he had to trust her and "play" this game by her rules... Most of the time at least.

Y/N, just as planned, was in the park, sitting on the bench further from the crowd. Now, it was his time to shine and meet the player. He has been waiting for this event ever since he was made. Ever since the world of the game was more or less finished and the characters added, the anticipation for the "Day 1" was even bigger.

"Alright, focus... Focus..." Peter said to himself while standing behind a tree and trying to get himself together, "Hello! Are you waiting for a family member or a friend? Ah, you're alone here, I see... Look, I know, this is sudden, but if you are free tonight, can I have the pleasure in taking you out to dinner? Really, that's great! Then I'll see you tonight at 7!"

Peter had been practicing these lines for a while and now it's time to use them in action.

Peter took a deep breath and got out from his hiding spot. He slowly approached the the bench and repeated his lines.

"Hello! Can I have the pleasure in taking you out to dinner?" Peter repeated to himself. His heart beat got louder and louder as he was getting closer and closer to the bench on which was sitting the love of his life. This was it! The moment has finally come!

Peter repeated his line once again.

"Hello! Can I have the ple--" suddenly Peter was pushed aside in the nearest bushes and pinned to the ground.

Y/N turned their head to see what was that noise, but didn't see anything suspicious.

Peter grunted before opening his eyes to see the person that was still pinning him to the ground.

The person seemed to be a female who was wearing a black jacket with a hoodie on their head. On her face was a Japanese cat mask, that covered her eyes and nose, but her smile was still visible. She was also wearing black pants and what seemed to be simple black and white everyday shoes.

"Barely saved you, huh?" the masked stranger said  while still panting. Seemed like she needed a lot of strength to get him down to the ground... Or maybe a lot of speed...

"Huh?" Peter asked confused.

"It's pretty hard to push a tall and pretty heavy guy like you! I must say, I'm proud of myself. Pretty impressive..."

Peter shook his head and raised his upper body up.

"I am really sorry, but who are you? And from what exactly you saved me?" Peter asked as he watched the cat mask. Odd... He didn't recognize this character from the game. What was going on in his mother's head now? He couldn't really understand, was this supposed to be an NPC or another character who won't leave his Y/N alone until they are taught a lesson?

"Oh! I saved you from the embarrassment that was coming your way! Trust me, that way you won't be able to impress someone! You'll only make them think you're a weirdo!"

"Yeah..." Peter chuckled kind of confused. He'd be the weirdo? Can't really say that she seems normal herself... Peter got up and cleaned his clothes off. The cat masked person also got up, "Look, I really appreciate your, err, help, but I can handle things myself just fine, alright?"

Peter was about to get back on his way to the bench, but the cat mask stood in his way.

"So sure of yourself, huh?" the stranger asked, "You really are into them a lot."

Peter looked at the stranger now a bit annoyed.

"Thank you for saving me and all, but I really need to get going, okay?"

"Oh? Where are you going?"

"I'm going on a date, but you are getting in my way."

"Oh?" the stranger tilted her head curious and smiled, "Do they even know that they are going on a date with you?"

"They will once I invite them," Peter said and took a step forward, but the stranger took a step back to again stand in front of him.

Peter rolled his eyes as the stranger spoke: "You know, people usually don't go on dates with someone they don't know."

"They will get to know me eventually!" Peter tried to step forward, but the stranger kept getting on his way.

"Yeah yeah, of course, but you need to meet first. Maybe ask them for a cup of coffee and get along as friends first?"

"Listen!" Peter raised his voice, but the quickly got himself back together, by taking a deep breath, putting his palms together like he would be praying and moving them to his mouth. He closed his eyes and exhaled, before he got back to his normal voice, "Thank you, for your advice... I will think about them, however, the time is ticking and I need to go right now! So stop getting in my way!"

Peter then pushed the stranger away and got out of the bushes. He quickly brushed some leaves that were stuck on his clothes. He tried to regain himself by repeating his lines once again, but once he looked up at the bench on which Y/N was sitting before, he froze on the spot.

The bench was already empty and Y/N was nowhere to be seen.

Peter looked down remembering that he needs to breath as well.

No... How can that be? He was supposed to meet them here and ask them out for the dinner so the game would finally start! Why did they leave? They weren't supposed to leave until they speak.

The voice that came right behind him, made him remember who just ruined his moment with Y/N. With every second the stranger spoke, his anger was growing and his fist was getting tighter and tighter.

"Oh well. Sadly they weren't patient enough to wait for your arrival. I guess your plans have to be changed now, huh? How about you and I go to a fast food restaurant where we could ta-"

She wasn't able to finish the sentence since Peter's hand was tightly wrapped around her neck and her back was now pressed against the tree. Peter's eyes were flaming in anger as he glared at her.

"I don't care who the fuck are you, but you just ruined the start of the best week of my life. And I am not going to tolerate that."

The stranger was holding onto Peter's arm and trying to get some more air, but Peter only made the grip tighter.

"Just... listen... to... me..." the stranger was barely able to speak.

"I am done listening to you. Now, you will listen to me. If I will ever see you and or that mask ever again, you better have your will already written! Understood?"

The stranger gulped and nodded. Peter squeezed her neck a little bit tighter before letting her fall down on the ground. The stranger immediately started to cough and held onto her neck. Peter stepped back and looked at the bench once again before looking around the whole park. Shit, how is he supposed to find Y/N now? Peter groaned in frustration and glanced at the stranger one last time before starting to run to the flower shop. Maybe they are going to pass by or go in to get some flowers?

The stranger slowly got up and watched Peter leave. She kept rubbing her neck and took a deep breath.

"Yeah... This is not going to be as easy as I thought..."
