As Tyler and I walked down the cobblestone steps towards the street, I noticed Jason leaning against his car.
I turned to Tyler, "You brought Jason?"
He looked down at me, "Yeah, I hope that's okay. It's just that he was the only one that could bring me when I needed to go."
"Yeah, it's fine. I don't mind Jason being around."
Tyler smiled. Then as we approached the car Jason grinned, the biggest smile I've ever seen.
"Glad to see you Olivia." Jason beammed.
"Hey, Jason."
Tyler held the back door open for me, and I climbed in. Then Tyler walked around the front of the car as Jason got into the driver's seat, and Tyler clambered into the passenger's seat. We headed off, back home.
"So, Olivia," Jason said, "Where've you been?"
"I've been with my mom." I answered.
He looked at me in the rear-view mirror, "Why'd you go?"
"I needed to see her." I said, staring out the window at the trees racing by.
"You scared Tyler half to death." Jason said with a grin.
"Shut up, man." Tyler said in a sarcastic tone.
"C'mon Ty, you were worried sick. You wouldn't eat or talk to any of us."
"I care about her, a lot, okay. She's my sister, I have to protect her."
Jason paused, his smile faded, "Is this for real?"
Tyler and I both looked at him, "It is." I answered.
Then Tyler said, "She's my twin sister."
The three of us sat in silence while Jason drove. Nobody could speak, nobody could believe it.
