"Mama!" I heard my four year old daughter scream from her bedroom.

"Yeah sweetie?"

"Spider!" She screamed, while running down the stairs.

I quickly pick her up and whipped her tears.

"It's okay baby, I won't let anything hurt you." I whisper, as I rub her back. Moments later she is asleep on my shoulder. I put her on the couch, and wrap a small blanket around her.

My name is Ashely Price. And I'm homeless. My dad quicked me out when he found out I was pregnant...with his baby. He used to abuse me until I could barely move.

One night, my friend Adam, found me on the side of the road. I'm surprise that I'm still here.

Everybody in my family thinks I'm dead, and I'm keeping it that way. That's why I stay hidden.

Adam's father sells house for a living. Adam could only hide my daughter and I in this one.

A run down house. The house is old and grey. The shutters are broken, so are some of the windows. The roof leaks big time!

But I'm thankful.

Now you're probably wondering how I feed Symber, (my daughter). Every weekend, Adam comes and watches Symber while he gives me fifty bucks to go buy food and drinks.

There was a knock on the door that made me jump. I walked to the door I find Adam smiling.

"Hey Ash. Here's your money. Where is Symber? I belive I owe her a tea party!" His smile grows bigger.

"On the couch sleeping. Thank you Adam for everhthing." I hug him.

"No problem. That's what friends are for. No go before it gets way to dark."

I nod, and kissed Symber on the head. As I walked out I noticed the fog hugged the damp earth. I stuffed my money into my pocket and walk off the porch.

Thirty minutes later, I'm walking down a alley I don't regonize. The rain pounded on the cold concrete. I haven't got to the store yet, and night fall has already begun

Some guy whistled too me from a dark corner.

'Keep walking', I keep reminding myself.

"Baby where are you going?" The man's cracky voice echoed through the alley.

I walked a little faster. I heard the sound of heavy boots following me. Then I began to run, though I knew it was hopless.

The man pushed me againist the wall.

"Aww baby, don't run from me."

I screamed for help.

"This won't hurt one bit." His breath hit my neck. He unbuckled his pants.
