Lost and Found

Midgard

If you were to tell Loki he had it easy he would look at you like you were insane. He Loki the son of Laufey and Farbauti, king and queen of Jotunheim. The adopted son of Odin and Frigga of Asgard. If anything far from it... His biological parents didn't want a runt and let Odin take him as a baby. It was there he grew up under a loving mother, Frigga. It would've been great if he could spend all his moments with his adopted mother but another problem arose he had also inherited siblings. An older sister named Hela, Odin's eldest daughter and Ex executioner of Asgard. Then there was Thor second son of Odin who had a boisterous and trouble making nature, Then there was him, still the runt. Youngest of the three.

several years later

Loki had heard of a place called Midgard or Earth as the natives of the planet called it. Different from Asgard. His parents were busy handling matters, his brother was away with his friends, Hela his sister was out in the training ring sparring with the unlucky recruits. He snuck away towards the bifrost and convinced Heimdall to bridge him to this Midgard. Heimdall was hesitant at first but complied with the princes wishes.

It was on Earth that Loki found himself on for the first time. Much to the annoyance of Loki a place called New York. A city that never sleeps.  He traversed through the alleyways of Queens, New York. Not the safest way to travel but he didn't feel like taking to the bustling crowded streets of the big city. As Loki is walking towards no real destination he stumbles upon a brown cardboard box laying there in the middle of  the alleyway. He kicks the box lightly out of the way but stops dead in his tracks at the sound of strained crying.

He turns around and looks in the box chastising himself for not looking in it before he decided to just kick it out the way. There wrapped in a soft baby blue blanket cried a baby about five months old. Loki felt instant regret for his earlier actions, he instinctively found himself reaching down and cradling the scared baby. The baby eventually stopped his crying and it was then that Loki noticed a piece of paper on the side of the box. He carefully reached down so as not to disturb the sleeping bundle within his arms and picked the paper up. It read " Hi my name is Peter and I have no one left please take care of me" - love aunt May... This piece of information was somewhat useful if not at all.

Loki's expectations of Midgard turned sour at the thought of someone just abandoning this poor helpless baby out in the cold and dark alleyway of New York. He crumbled the paper and shoved it into his jacket pocket then carefully made his way out of the alley. The baby woke up and touched Loki's jacket pulling at it to get his attention. Loki peered down and instantly knew he was never going to let anything happen to this small one. He decided in that he was going adopt the little boy named Peter.

Asgard

Loki found himself in the entrance to Asgard. A rather curious Heimdall looking expectantly at Loki or rather what was making the gurgling sound emitting from his jacket. so, I see you brought a sovineer back with you, hmmm?! The curious voice of Heimdall said. As Loki looked rather embarrassed to admit what it is he found. You won't tell my father? Loki questioned. Young Prince, my lips are sealed. What happens in my dome stays in it. The other said causing Loki to breath a sigh of relief. When Loki was out of sight and hearing range Heimdall spoke again. I won't have too he already knows. I pity you my young Prince. You heart was in the right place.

The moment Loki entered into the palace through a secret entrance. Known only to him and his siblings, he made his way towards his quarters. Unfortunately for him there waited the elite guards from the palace. Loki had this knowing feeling his father knew his little secret.

You can't keep him! Said the firm voice of Odin. The king of the Asgardians looked on in fury as Loki even had the audacity to assume he'd be allowed to keep a Midgardian let alone a mere babe. Now get that thing out of here before your mother lays eyes on it! His father snapped sending Loki away. Unfortunately for the angry King his son happened to meet per chance his mother and her ladies traversing down the glittering halls, on accident. Loki held back a small smile, father was rough and set in his ways but mother wasn't like father, she would agree with keeping this poor helpless babe.

Oh my! Look at his chubby little cheeks!! Squealed the fond voice of his mother as her high pitched voice startled the palace guards. The ladies of her court began to coo as they practically excluded Loki from the newly found Midgardian babe now in their unyeilding clutches. Loki look another son! Said his mother in a joyful sing song voice. Loki was happy for his mother and then. He frowned catching what her words had meant. No, he found the baby, he wanted to keep him as a son. No inherent yet again another sibling. He began to plead with his mother over the numerous crowd of ladies. His mother called off her ladies as the group fell silent and broke away with the Queen alone holding the babe.

Loki raising a babe is not an easy task. The babe needs to be nurtured, safe, happy, and many more things. But never forget a babes most important rule you should guard in your heart. Is that babes need to be loved. Said Frigga looking at her soon through a peering gaze only a mother could hold.  Mother if I prove to you that I can care for this babe would you then let me keep him? Loki said as he waited the voice of his mother. Alright, if you Loki son of Odin can prove to me Frigga your mother, That you can take care of this child without any help you can care for this babe. I'll let you keep him! She said in a firm authoritative voice. But if you fail. She began to speak only for Loki to cut her off.

Please don't send him back to Midgard! Pleaded the worried voice of Loki. Heavens no I'm not your father! If you fail, you forfeit your rights of keeping him, and I'll raise him. Another sibling to add to the house of Odin. His mother finished leaving the babe in his arms. Oh, and before I forget. Said his mother. You have two weeks time to prove to me. She said as her heels hit the marble floors, signaling her withdrawal. Only two weeks? How hard could it possibly be?! Loki thought.

Two days later

Loki knew his mother was smiling underneath her veil. She knew she was going to win this wager and Loki dreaded loosing his new found son.
