This is the slap scene when they find out that Hank was a witch hunter
~~~~~~~~~
As I sit at the table with Marie, Cordelia, and Fiona, Fiona stands up and walks over to the counter as Marie starts talking.
"It ain't on you. Its on me. I hired him." Marie states, looking at Cordelia. "What are you talking about?" Cordelia asks. "Your husband.. was a Witch Hunter." She says, flat out. I scoff. "As if we didn't see that one coming." Cordelia was pretty much my daughter even though I was only 10 years older than her. But she was foolish.
"Showed up at my place runnin' his mouth. 'Bout how he had been killin witches his whole life. 'Bout how he had all this access. How his mother-in-law was the supreme." She looks at Fiona. "Ooh he hated yo' ass." She says with a bittersweet chuckle.
"But he gave me a fair price so..." Fiona scoffs while Cordelia sits there dumbfounded. "You were my sworn enemy." She defends. "You hired him to kill me? To kill my girls?" Cordelia asks, her voice cracking ever so slightly.
"Uh-huh.. but he couldn't do it. He was too soft. He was trying to protect you alright, from me. Lucky for y'all, he was a stone fool." Marie says with a slight bob of her head.
Fiona turns to Cordelia with a death glare before speed walking over and bitch slapping her.
Cordelia inhales sharply and drops to her knees, holding her face. "Its all water under the bridge now mama!" I say before leaning down to Cordelia. "You alright, little one?" I ask. "Oh don't baby her, she's a grown woman! She's a fool goddammit!" I turn to Fiona and scoff before turning back to Cordelia.
"You need to take a breather, Goode." I say before shoo'ing her out the room along with Marie. "Come on, mama. Get those pretty little legs to lift you up." I say as I help her up.
"Now your mama got one thing right. You are a damned fool. Ever since the minute he stepped foot into this place, he gave me a bad feeling. But I don't hold it against you, little one. And neither does your mama or anyone else. You were foolish. A child."
She sighs and nods, tears still streaming down her beautifully scarred face. "Wipe those tears, you're too pretty for 'em." I order. She obeys and wipes her tears.
"Now, sweet girl, go talk strategy with your mama. I'll be upstairs checking on the girls." She nods and hugs me.
Before she walks off, I whisper in her ear. "And keep that head high, little one."
