After 4 months:
It had been four months since MaNan had become friends and the people around them, could clearly see the difference.
Cabir had noticed how manik had become completely dependent on nandini, and how he used to laugh his heart out when he was with her. The employees in his office including cabir, had to face his wrath lesser than earlier and well, for a change, he used to greet them happily.
Nandini's parents had seen her getting lost and smiling like a fool even while sitting on the dining table when alya and soha used to throw comments on her. Why? Well, she used to be either busy in typing something on her phone, or if not, she would be lost, ummm... in someone's thoughts maybe.
'The Names hold powers', they used to say in the old days. I never believed it, until I realised what mere mention of your name did to my heart.
"manikkkkkkk" nandini shouted for the nth time trying to pull him up from his seat. On not getting any response from his side, she made a puppy face and bending down, started to poke his cheek with her finger trying to gain her attention with her cute antics.
"maniiii" she said softly this time and manik finally looked at her hearing the name which he was waiting to hear. Oh how much he loved to piss her off.
"what?" he asked while looking at her puppy face while she smiled a bit gaining his attention.
"please, lets go." She said.
Well it was a Sunday once again, and according to their routine till date, they had to go out today, just like they had been doing from the past 4 months.
"why the hell do you want to go to watch siddharth malhotra's film?" he asked her while she made her best puppy face.
She wanted to watch her favourite hero's movie, and luckily, it was her day to decide where they'll be going.
They had made a pact that they'll take turns and will visit places that the other person wants to visit.
"maniii, you can't do this to me. Last time even I went with you to that stupid art exhibition of yours na, when I didn't even have point one percent interest in it. You can't ditch me like this." She said.
"aree but why do you have to take me to these kind of places only? Last time when it was your chance, you seriously took me to an amusement park. Like, what are we 10?" he said in a duhhh tone, and she puffed her cheeks with air.
He pressed her cheeks with his hands looking at his laptop causing her cheeks to flatten and her lips changed into a pout. Shifting his gaze from his laptop he faced her and that's when his eyes got the sight of her pouty lips.
He tried to control himself but he was lost once again just like it had been since a month.
"Maniiii. Oowwww, my cheeks." She said while disturbing his view and removing his hands from her cheeks while rubbing them.
