*Korekiyo's POV*
I wake up to see Kaito's not in bed. I do my morning routine and head downstairs to see Kaito on the couch.
"Hello Kaito. Why aren't you in bed?" I asked because he sick the day before.
"Oh hey Kiyo! I'm feeling better now. I'm not sick anymore but I just don't want to go to school." He said. I sighed and went to the kitchen to make some toast. I knew Kaito would either make himself breakfast or go out and get some breakfast.
"Bye my Love. I'm heading off to school." I said. He turned to me and waved
"Bye babe! Have a good day at school!" He said to me
I walked to school and went to class. I sat down and waited for the others. I saw Shuichi. Maki, and Kokichi walk in the classroom.
"Where's Kaito?" Maki asks with a concerned voice. Which was intriguing to hear considering her normal tone but I brushed it off and answered her.
"He's still at home a little bit sick. I'm sure he'll be here tomorrow." I answered calmly. She looked at me and nodded then sat down. Shuichi sits down beside me .
"Kaito isn't really sick is he?" He asks me. I look at him.
"No he isn't. He got better today but he is being lazy and staying home." I replied to him. The teacher came in and started the lesson I prepared myself for the day, right then and there.
The teacher finished class and we went to lunch. On the way to lunch I checked my phone and went to the weather app. I saw that there was going to be a storm later when school ends. I knew that Kaito is afraid of storms so I made a plan to get home quickly after school and prepare Kaito's little bag. Kaito also slips when something scary happens.
School ended and I rushed back home to get his bag ready. I open the door and see Kaito waiting for me on the couch.
"Hey babe! How was school?" He asked
"School was not the most interesting thing today." I replied. He nodded in understanding to my reply. I then headed upstairs to get his stuff ready. I changed my clothes and got his stuff ready. As soon as I finished I heard thunder. Knowing he probably already started slipping I took the stuff in my hand and rushed downstairs. I immediately sat next to Kaito. He latched onto me and looked up at me with a terrified look on his face.
"Hey it's okay. You're safe here." I said. My voice soft and low. It's easy to tell when Kaito is about to slip because he puts his thumb in his mouth and starts babbling. He started doing that so i took put his pacifier, noise canceling headphones, and his space onesie. No one besides me knew about Kaito being a little so I always hid this from them because he didn't want them to know.
"Hewwo Daddy!" He said energetically. That tone quickly changed when he heard thunder from outside. He started shaking and crying, so I gave him his pacifier and headphones. He started calming down quickly but I knew I would have to take off the headphones again so that he could hear me. I picked him up and took him to the kitchen to make him a bottle.
The microwave finished beeping and I took his milk out. I let it cool for a bit so that he didn't burn his tongue. I set a timer for a minute and 30 seconds and left the kitchen m. The thunder had died down a bit, but it was still there.
The timer went off so I set Kaito on the couch and got the milk for him. I went back to the couch and sat down. As soon as I did he looked at me and made grabby hands. I helped him drink the milk considering he slips to about2-3 years of age. He finished the milk and I heard a knock at the door. I knew I didn't order anything and Kaito couldn't order anything in the headspace he's in. I let him stay on the couch and looked through the peephole to see Maki there.
I opened the door and Maki looked at me not expecting me.
"Oh hey Kiyo. Where's Kaito?" She asked me.
"He's upstairs sleeping with his noise canceling headphones." I replied calmly.
"Oh okay. Tell him I visited ok?" She told me
"I will make sure to tell him." I replied. She left and I closed the door and turned behind me to see Kaito not on the couch. I started panicking until I saw him crawling towards the kitchen. I let out a sigh of relief and went towards him and I picked him up.
"What happened My galaxy?" I asked him
"I saw candy. And I wanwed it." He said.
"Oh if you wamted candy my galaxy you could've asked." I told him. I reached for the candy he was looking at and opened it. It was a chocolate candy bar which is mainly why he came over here. If he sees any other candy he'll ask but if it's chocolate he'll try to get it without asking.
"My galaxy you should get some sleep." I told him. He looked at me and nodded. I took him upstairs and laid him down. I tucked him in and went back downstairs. I started watching some TV waiting for him to wake up. The TV started boring me so I started reading a book on human history.
After an hour he woke up.
"Hey babe! Is the storm over now?" He asked me groggily
"Yes it is infact over. Are you okay now?" I asked him. He looked at me and nodded. He then came over and sat on my lap.
"Oh? What is the meaning of this?" I asked him. He didn't say anything but instead pulled down my masked and kissed me. It took me by surprise at first but I soon kissed him back. We both pulled away to catch our breaths and looked at each other. We both then leaned in for another passionate kiss. We pulled away yet again after 30 seconds. We started cuddling each other and it was silent for a few minutes until I remembered what Maki wanted me to tell him.
"Oh i forgot about this for a moment. But Maki stopped by earlier and wanted to know if you were ok." He looked at me a bit shocked but then he smiled.
"I knew Maki-roll cared about me!" He said excitedly. I looked at him and smiled.
