After Aang & Katara kissed that day everything went down hill...nobody knows why. He and Katara traveled around, Zuko became firelord, But Toph and Sokka stayed companions. Now the beautiful and sad part starts.

Toph sat up from next to Sokka and whispered "are u awake?" He opened his eyes drowsily "what's wrong?" She shook her head and said "nothing. I just heard something from outside, I'm sure it's nothing." Toph laid back down and looked at him blindly with a smile. Sokka whispers softly "go back to sleep." He put an arm over her and pulled her closer. Sokka had never done anything like this to her before but he was more comfortable since the rest of the gang wasn't around. She sighed with a blush and buried her nose in his shoulder and mumbled "I'm cold." Sokka nodded "I know that why I'm right here." She closed her eyes and Sokka whispered "good night Top-" before he could finish he heard the noise and they both sat up quickly. Toph stood up and squeaked "the ground is cold!!!" She jumped but said "Sokka it's the Pirat-" the tent was set on fire and they both got out quickly, Toph and Sokka where grabbed and they lifted them off their feet but by then Toph had already hit them. Toph and Sokka went back to back and smiled "one on one, no retreat." Sokka nodded and they went to battle. Toph was doing good till....."TOPH!!!!" She didn't have to turn around "oh no." Toph turned around and there was a sword to Sokka's throat. She slowly lifted a boulder "U LEAVE HIM ALONE OR I'LL-" she was cut short "or what. Now now missy, U don't want to hurt your friend. Put the rock down unless u want him to scream again." She looked startled not knowing what to do, then growled slamming the rock down. Sokka yelled "no don't!!!" She felt a pirate try to sneak up on her and she shifted her foot forward but it was to late, they grabbed her and slammed her to a tree. Toph couldn't do anything, they tied her hands around the tree with her back to it and she heard Sokka ask "if your taking me somewhere...can I say one last thing to her? Please, privately? I promise I will come straight back." They agreed and left the area. He ran over to her and pressed his face up against hers, she felt his tears run down her face and she blushed as he mumbled "even t-thou I'm only two years older than u T-Toph....I-I don't think I can leave u here, it doesn't feel right to leave u here." She smiled "I'll be ok, your talking to the worlds first metalbender, and the best Earthbender." The Pirates started walking back and Toph said "u have to go....so this is good bye." She looked him in the eyes and he shook his head "I wanted to think my goodbye with you was gonna be like this..." He gently kissed her, long and soft. Suddenly Toph teared up and that was the last time she heard Sokka.
•13 years later, in republic city•
Toph looked at Aang and said "he's lying!!!" Aang nodded "Firelord Zuko, your firenation criminal has been proven guilty. U can take them to the prison." Katara held baby Kya outside and watched as Aang, Toph, and Zuko came out. Toph sat down and sighed "I'm sorry.....I really couldn't save Sokka that day..I was strapped to a tree.....he kinda sorta may have...nevermind." Zuko knew she was bad tempered so he said "it's ok Toph! We are sad he's gone....all of us....but we have to get threw his birthday just for one day." Toph growled "I'm outta here." Kya looked over and said "ish auntie Tof mads mama?" Katara shook her head and rocked the child "no, she's sad dear." Kya smiled "does she needs a hug?" Toph shook her head "no." Then walked away, not hearing the rest. She got to the station and sat down in her office, about two seconds later joyful screams came from outside her window. Sokka ( YAY!!) said "it's so good to see you....all...." He looks around not seeing the one face he was really hoping to see "is she...?" Zuko nods "she's chief of police, she just went to her office. Bottom floor, last door." Sokka nods and goes to the station. A police stops him "who are u here to see?" Sokka stops and answers "chief Beifong...." Toph put her head to her desk and her radio went off "Chief, there is a man here to see u." She presses down a button with her lazy metalbending and says "send them in." The police nods and pulls the radio from his ear "she will see u now." Sokka nods "I know where." He started walking then got to the door and saw a girl with her head to the desk. She lifted up her head "alright what do u want this time president-" Sokka smiled at her from the door and said "your more beautiful then the day I left u..." She smiles "S-Sokka?" He nods and walks to her desk "let's see how tall U are." Toph slowly stands and was almost as tall as him. Sokka smiles "hello deadeyes." Toph laughs softly "hello meathead."
