   "I'd really love to take you out on a date, I just find you very admirable and interesting." The man complimented you as you stood in your dress clothes

"I'd love that when do you thi-"

"Actually nevermind I h-have to g-go-" The man took off as if he saw a ghost. You sunk in your shoes as you felt embarrassed. Everyone always runs away. You never understood why, but little do you fucking know you had someone who was a bit overprotective of you.

You continued drinking the wine as you enjoyed the party that the Zoldyck family threw at a really nice club they had recently bought. You were surprised they threw one.. or that you were personally invited. You've been in kahoots with Killua, but you didn't think you meant that much to him. All you did was have a few moments and encounters with him and his little green friend. Other than that you've minded your business all your life. You have gotten involved in the assassin business, you were very good and respected but you never wanted to go far with it. You wanted a normal life, maybe a family who knows. You walked over to the bar and sat down. As per usual you were getting stares, from both women and men. Either they recogniced you or found you attractive, you never knew or cared. A man took a seat on the stool next to you, you didn't spare a glance until you heard him spoke.

"The usual."  The man spoke in a monotoned voice.

"Oh no problem Mr.Zoldyck." The waitress spoke in a seductive voice.

"Illumi Zoldyck." You spoke. You don't know why, you knew if he annoyed you he would kill you or something. But doubt he would do it for free. But his dark eyes slowly dragged to you. He eyed your face and then your body.

"Y/n L/n." He spoke. You were taken aback when he knew who you were. It's been years since you've done any work.

"That made me feel exceptional. A Zoldyck knowing
me." You faced your body towards his. He had smiled lightly while doing the same.

"I looked into your work and I find you.. intriguing, made me wonder why you had stopped." The waitress brought his drink as she winked at him. He paid no mind as he brought it to his lips and he kept his eye contact with you. You lightly chuckled to yourself.

"I wanted the taste of a normal life, possibly have a family.." You signalled the waitress for a drink. "Ah may I have the same as his order but without ice." You spoke in a professional voice ready to get back to your conversation.

"Yes, no prob-"

"Make sure you put it on the house, she pays for nothing." Illumi cut the girl off as her eyes widen. "Y-yeah no problem sir, I'll let everyone know."

"Y/n L/n, remember that name." He waved her off and she scurried off.

"Talk about presence and being respected."
You smirked as you waited for your drink.

"As I should be.. and I do agree about the normal life and having a family." Illumi looked in his drink while stirring the ice around. Your phone buzzed, that caught his attention, it made him twitch a bit. Who was texting you? Why were they interrupting. It was his time with you, why were they ruining things he wondered. He kept himself calm and continued on stirring his drink. You rolled your eyes as you checked to see your on and off ex had texted you again. You sighed as they were feeling lonely.

"Everything fine..?" Illumi asked not trying to be too nosy or obviously pissed. He was losing his shit feeling blocked from his source of happiness.

"Ah... I just have some business to attend to." You downed your drink and stood up. Illumi grabbed your wrist and pulled you towards his tall lean body.

"I'd like to see you again.. I enjoy your company." He kissed your forehead as you smiled a bit. You held out your hand for his phone. He blinked and had caught on making him feel giddy inside. You took his phone and he watched as you typed your number in and put your name with cute little hearts.

"I'll think about it Mr. Zoldyck." You winked while handing his phone back. "Till next time."

"I'll find you.." Illumi responded making you laugh a bit. He was serious though. He knows all. All he knew was that with your number he was gonna figure out who took you away from him. They wouldn't do it again is what he would make sure of. He smiled to himself as he watched you until you figure was unable to be seen anymore. Oh how he needed you.
