I let Thor lead me into the compounds literal ballroom with his arm around my shoulder, whispering stupid jokes in my ear as he walked towards the bar for another drink. I'd tried to keep drink for drink with Thor for exactly two drinks before I realised I wouldn't even make it to the party if I didn't admit defeat and pace myself. As it was, I was more than tipsy but hadn't quite made it to drunk. In a way, it was a great mood to enter a party that I didn't want to go to. Thor ordered more drinks, begging the poor bartender in the loudest voice I'd ever heard to use some of the Asgardian liquor he knew she was keeping behind the counter. He turned to face me after the poor girl had gone off in search of his request and told me a story about his brother Loki transforming into a snake that made me laugh so hard people close by were watching us. We had finally received our drinks when our names were being called and Thor put his arm around me again to take me over to the voices.

"I see the two of you had an excellent time." It was Tony, eyeing the two of us like he wasn't sure what our next move would be. Thor fell into one of the couches that had been dragged around in an awkward circle, taking me with him.

"This girl cannot handle her liquor at all," Thor told the group. "But she is an excellent hustler at darts."

"I didn't think someone like you would know how to play darts," Steve said from the chair beside Thor. I glanced at his frown. I hadn't even noticed he was there. I raised my drink to him.

"I don't," I told him. "But I'm an assassin and I am an excellent knife thrower." This seemed to piss him off and I wanted to yell at him to stop being an asshole and have a good time.

"I'd love to see that!" Across from me, a younger boy leaned forward with an excited expression on his face. I grinned.

"I think maybe she's had a few too many drinks for that to be safe-" Steve was saying as I had the knife from my sleeve in my hand and flicked it towards him, landing my target of the space in the chair right between his legs while barely looking. The boy across from me applauded. "I can't believe you just did that."

"I told you she was excellent!" Thor cried.

"Yeah," I said, leaning across Thor to poke my tongue out at Steve. "Somebody thinks I'm excellent." He rolled his eyes.

"You're reckless, is what you are," He told me.

"Don't be so jealous," I instructed.

"Of you? I don't think so." I snorted.

"Of him." I motioned to Thor. Steve fell quiet for a second before he glared at me.

"Don't be such an idiot," He said before he faced the others and tried to join their conversation so he could better ignore me as I glared a hole into the side of his head.

"Let's play truth or dare," Thor said after the conversation seemed to lull for a moment. A waitress came over to refill everyone's drinks.

"How do you even know what truth or dare is?" Tony eyed him carefully while Thor stuck a thumb in my direction.

"She taught me."

"What, you two played truth or dare this afternoon?" Steve said, annoyed.

"Sure," I supplied with a shrug. "I told him to tell me the truth about which Avenger was his favourite, he dared me to give him a lapdance. The usual."

"What?" The anger in Steve's tone caught me by surprise and I looked over at him in confusion, the same way others did.

"I'm joking, Cap," I said and he visibly relaxed. "He dared me to do a strip tease instead."

"Jesus Christ, Mia." Steve rubbed at his forehead and shook his head, visibly frustrated with me as I grinned back.

"I'll play truth or dare," Scott said from his chair. "It sounds like fun." There was a crowd of agreeance around the couches as Steve was left to sort himself out.
