Introduction
There is no guidebook on how to deal with being raped. It affects everyone differently.
Some people push their loved ones away, but it was the opposite for Detective Olivia Benson. It was pushing her ever so closer to the man she considered to be a father figure.

Don,
Nothing could have prepared me for what I what happened to me and how it made me feel.
You know how I struggle to say how I feel, so I decided to write it down. As you know, my mother is an alcoholic.
From a very young age, I had to grow up and take care of my mother. I had nobody to take care of me, that is until I met you.
From day one, you have always watched over me and made sure that I was taken care of. It scared me at first. I soon realized that I could trust you, not only as a superior officer, but also as a dad. A damn good dad.
Olivia
Tears poured down Donald Cragen's face as he read that. He could not be more proud and happier of the woman she had become while working for him. He knew that she struggled with expressing her feelings, so he pulled out a pen and paper and proceeded to write.Olivia,
All I ever wanted was to become a father, a dream you turned into reality. I could not ask for a better daughter.
Don aka Dad
He slipped it on her desk on the way out of work. A few hours later, Don was eating dinner when he got a text.
Olivia: Sorry to bother you.
Don: You are not bothering me Livvy. Is everything ok? Do you need me to come over?
Olivia: No, but can I come over? I had a nightmare and can't sleep or think straight.
Don: You're always welcome.
Don hurried off to get the guest suite ready for her. He was determined to make her feel comfortable and safe. A half hour later, a relieved looking Olivia arrived. "Thanks Don."
"As I said on the phone, you are always welcome. Let me show you to your suite." He walked her to her suite and allowed her to settle in while he prepped dinner. He wanted her to feel welcome.
Olivia's POV:
"DADDDDDDD!" Something was terribly wrong. Olivia had woken up with the worst stomachache ever, and something was telling her to go to the hospital.
