Chapter 3. The Calm Before the Storm

The fact that Lily and James would have two children in the future was news that traveled like lightning through Hogwarts. For the next week, Lily felt a bit weird walking into the great hall; she tried not to think of the kind, fierce boy who looked just like Potter or the cute little girl who looked just like herself, but that was hard to do when people congratulated you and asked you how it felt to see them.

Severus felt like throwing up when he saw Lily and Potter. They both hovered around each other, sneaking glances here and there. Potter was beaming at the compliments he got while Lily looked like she was about to faint despite seeming happy as well.

The teachers smiled at the student's excitement. One of Flitwick's ravens had shared the memories of Harry and Historia, so the teachers were all able to see the Potter children. Albus came to the same conclusion as Rodolphus did on Historia's early admittance. No one has ever attended Hogwarts before eleven, so he was pretty surprised by the little girl. He sensed intense magic energy coming from Historia. If her magic were developing faster, it would explain her enrollment, but he had no proof of this. 'Hopefully, there will be an apparition explaining why soon.'

Most of the teachers had frowned at how Snape treated the students but could not currently do anything about it. Minerva was proud to see her future lions were good-hearted children, willing to help each other with little to no prompting. She was filled with pride at the praises the other teachers were giving her lion when he helped his housemate and stood up to the childish behaviors of the future potion master.

The school day passed with no interruptions, much to the student's disappointment. The marauders kept their eyes peeled, looking up and down each hallway and classroom twice, interrogating students, and pestering teachers to the point of detention. When dinner rolled around, they could be seen slumped in their seats.

Stella, Melody, and Jasmine noticed the put-out look on the boy's faces and sat down next to them. They began talking about Harry and Historia, "I bet Harry is a great big brother. He probably keeps all the boys away from Historia." Jasmine giggled, causing a smile to form on James and Sirius's faces.

Melody, however, shook her head, "What about when he graduates?" She asked, "They might be in the same year, but she is two years younger than him. The ministry might hold her back to take the OWL'S and NEWTS in her proper year. Anything can happen in those two years!" She had an evil smile on her face, watching as the boys began to panic slightly.

Sirius growled, his hand twitching to grab hold of his wand to hex any boys that might come close to his precious goddaughter. James and Sirius began plotting how to keep the male population from the innocent little girl, not realizing that the hall was filling with apparitions. They only noticed when the food on the table began to change from their run-of-the-mill dinner to meals that were only served on Halloween.

The present students and teachers moved out of the way and began converging to the Gryffindor table where Historia, Harry, Ron, and Neville were eating.

"Where is Hermione?" Historia asked, looking up and down the Gryffindor table for the bushy-haired girl.

Neville looked down, seemingly ashamed, "Parvati said that she has been in the girl's bathroom all day, crying."

Alice narrowed her eyes, sizing up her son, "Why has she been crying?"

Frank held her hand, eyeing the red-haired boy sitting next to his son, "I'm not sure, but from the way the rest of them are looking at Ron, I would say he had something to do with it."

The kids continued to eat, Harry piling more food on Historia's plate, much to the little girl's annoyance.

"Harry! You know I can't eat that much. My tummy already hurts." Historia pouted while Harry gave her a small smile.
