"Alright, girl. Let's play a game, shall we?" He started circling me, as if I were his prey. "You found our camp once, find it again, and you can stay."

"How do I know this isn't a trick and you won't let me stay even if I do find the camp? Or you'll just kill me on my way?"

"I keep my promises." He looked at me seriously, "If you find your way to this camp you can stay with the lost boys-"

"Not in a cage." I finished it. I would not stay in a cage for the rest of my eternity. "I would be just like all of the lost boys."

"You've got some real fire in you. I like fire." He smirked. "If you make your way to camp, you can become a lost girl."

"How much time do I have?" I asked. No point in anymore arguing.

"2 days." He stared at me. I stared back at him.

I didn't want to stay. But if it kept him from taking my brother, I'll do whatever it takes.

This time I stepped toward him,
"If I do this, you don't touch my brother." I kept my face as hard as possible.

"You've got to prove that your family is worth saving, sweetheart." The amount of hatred I had was boiling in my body.

"Deal." I said as strong as I could.

"Excellent." He smirked.

Suddenly I was transported to a beach, a forest behind me.

"This is where you'll start." He said,

"Where am I?" I asked, I realized I knew nothing of the island. I've only been here one hour, tops.

"Mermaid Lagoon. This is where you'll start your journey. As long as you continue north east, you should make it to our camp in 2 days time -- hopefully." He placed a compass, and a tiny knife in my hand.

I only nodded in response, was he expecting a thank you? Oh thank you for giving me the oppertunity to fight for my survival after you tried to kidnap my brother. Unsure at first, I took one step to look at the forest I was heading toward.

"The clock starts now." I heard. "Good luck."

"How do I-?" I turned around to ask a question but he was already gone. I was alone.

I found the direction North east and began to follow it. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be after the initial paranoia of everything surrounding me.

I walked until the sun came up. This was my first unwise decision. I shouldve rested. But I had no idea of the distance I was headed, this could possibly be a trap, a lie. And I had no idea of how to obtain food and water.

I just wanted to make it there. I could prove I could survive here with them. But I don't want to be apart of their little cult. I just wish I could live separately from them.

After walking from maybe 2 am to about 3 pm I decided I could try to find something to eat, maybe sleep. I realized I had no idea of what I could eat so I decided to try to take a small nap. Im a light sleeper so this shouldnt be too hard to be awoken on time.

I fell asleep easily from all the hiking. But too soon I awoke to footsteps. I stood up quickly. I tried to figure what it could be. Its definitely two feet so a human.

"Who's there?" I asked.

"You're a girl?" A woman with blond hair and dirt on her face came out of the bushes. She was very beautiful.

"Yes, who are you?" I asked, pointing my little knife at her.

"My name is Tinker Bell. What is your name?" She asked kindly. I had heard the name from my stories. But I decided she couldn't be trusted yet.

"You work for Pan." I muttered. "Please I must continue walking." I tried to get away from her.

"No, no. Thats why I'm here. I am here to protect you." She said. "Pan sent me to help his newest 'recruit'. I am only here to help, I know this island better than you do." She tried to convince me.

"Why would he do that?" I asked, "He doesn't seem like a very generous person to give me help."

"He has his moments."

I thought about it briefly. But I just decided I shouldn't be so trusting this early. This is wasting my time.

"Listen, I appreciate it. I do, but I think this is something I'm supposed to do on my own. If you're going to protect that's okay but from afar. I'm supposed to be tested on this for my own skills." I told her. "Now I need to get going, it was nice meeting you."

She was taken aback but I didn't want to take the risk of a distraction. I need to pass this test. Maybe I made a huge mistake, I don't know. I just know I need to protect my brother.
