"Today's the day", I thought as I fixed the knot of my tie, my happiness couldn't possibly be contained inside. "Ah hairs", I grabbed the comb, giving final touch to my hairs, threw the comb onto the dressing table and jumped onto the bed to grab the bag that was on the table across the bed.

Ktchh... bed made a complaining sound, "ooops did I just broke the bed", I turned around, then shrugged and extended my hand to grab my bag, though the thought of the bed complaining as to why it's being tortured because of my adrenalin rush put a smile to my face.I rushed out of my room, sneaked passed the kitchen, out the door, into the world that looked a little brighter today.

School bus has already arrived so I jumped into it...

Oh did I tell u why today is so special, I guess no, got carried away in excitement, well the thing is, the moment that I have waited 4 years has finally come, yes, im passing out of collage, that's obvious, but no that's not the reason why I am so exited, duh, well the reason I am so excited is because today is the day our school literary ambassador was gonna be selected, and I was pretty sure that's gonna be me.

Its like the best performing student of the whole graduating batch.

Why its such a big deal, you may ask, well, for a lot of reason, first it kind of the face of the whole batch in terms of all things literary, and considering this was the best arts collage in the country, its rarely something to be looked down to, and that's just the face of it, you see, other benefits come along with it, benefits such as higher education scholarships, jobs offers, even from international NGOs and stuff, etcetra etcetra... erm, but that's just material things, they aren't the reason why this got me so excited
The thing that really gets me going is the acknowledgment, the recognition of being the best of the best.

"Isn't it exciting to be called the ambassador of the best art collage in the country, its pretty cool", I thought.

Right at that moment the honk of the buss interrupted me, I closed the dairy app I was writing in. Well dairy writing is one of my habits, normally I write early in the morning and late at night but today I missed to write in the morning so I took the time in bus to write it.

The school was heavily decorated, as all annual days are.
I went in, rushed to my class, other classmates has gathered too.

There wasn't supposed to be any studying today obviously but we students were directed to come at usual time, for preparations, and stuff.

Parents were supposed to come at 11am for the ceremony.

"Heyy, Faiz", my best friend waved at me from one side of the room, Shabana was also sitting there.

Me, Fahad and Shabana were best friends and in team events we were always in one team.
"Hey, Fahad", I greeted back and went there. Said hi to Shabana too.

"Aha the great textual Picasso has arrived" Shabana announced with a naughty smile on her face, "or should we say, the grand ambassador of 34th batch alumni of the imperial art collage"
"Uh theres no grand in the title, and ambassador could be any one of us, stop" I acted annoyed, obviously fake one, as I sat on one of the chair.

They had gathered all chair closed to each other since there wasn't going to be any class today, so they were all chilling and gossiping.

"Stop with that fake @$$ modesty" Fahad slapped my back, "who are you kidding, you are damn sure in your mind you're going to get the title"

"Hehe..."

"Well what about you, what if u won it"

"Uh me" Fahad stopped for a bit, then said, "well, first I have no interest in becoming the ambassador anyways, but if the title were to given to me, I'd gladly take it and do the best to carry out the responsibility"
