I woke up in a dark chamber. My back was sore, as if someone had laid me on the hard floor for too long, which I am now. I tried to move before I realised that I was tied. There was a thick rope around my ankle and my wrists. I tried to scream, but someone had taped my mouth.

Tap. Tap.

I froze. I laid still on the floor. Then voices were heard.

"Emily…"

'T-that voice, it couldn't be,' I thought. I laid even still (if that was even possible) on the floor. I gasped as I saw him.

Alex…

"AAAAAHHH!!" I woke up in my bed, covered in sweat. I sighed. Another bad dream. I looked at the alarm clock and my eyes goggled as I saw the time.

"7:55 a.m.?!"

I felt weird that morning, as if I am not being myself. Usually I'll calm myself if this happens, but rage was swarming in me. And I let out an outrageous roar.

I woke up (a nightmare, again!). Great. A nightmare in a nightmare. Just, how great that was. I take a look at the time and I let out a sigh of relief. At least the dreams weren't true. I got out of bed and take a shower.

Mom was calling me for breakfast as I finished combing my hair. I let out a satisfied relief and went down the stairs. But I stopped mid-way down the stairs as I saw Alex's picture. But the picture looked slightly different. Alex's blue eyes that were supposed to be filled with coldness but now his eyes were filled with…

Fear.

I frowned, and strangely, I felt the urge to take the frame off the wall and look behind it, but mom's urgent yells was getting on my nerves, so I ignored it.

But little did I know that I had make the biggest mistake in my life.
