Trouble in the Tribe a Firebringer Fanfic

IMPLIED MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH

 The tribe woke up the next morning much more relaxed than the night before. SB and Zazz were climbing trees, Jemilla was sitting under a large oak reading, but there was one person not participating in the fun, Kerri once again was stuck staring at a wall thinking about the Statue. "You know the paint on that wall dried a long time ago," Jemila informed, Keeri let out a dry chuckle

"I don't think I've ever seen you think this hard about something, is this about the crazy light we saw yesterday?' "heh, how did you know" Keeri laughed flatly " I have been stuck in thought about it too" Jemila shyly admitted "well what would you use the wish for, I would wish for happiness for everyone in the tribe" "oh well now I feel selfish I wish going to wish to become friends with Zazzalil agai-" Keeri was cut off by the breakfast horn (I just feel like every meal  SmellyBalls would blow a horn) "well I guess we should go then" the walk to the dining hall was stiff with silence, but neither of them said anything to break it.

All of the nights the rest of the week Keeri would sneak out just to look at the wish-granting object. During the day Keeri only talked to Jemilla but the conversations were usually one-sided, Jemilla conducting them. One night the subsequent week, Keeri was visiting the sun statue as usual, but this time was different when she walked up to the wish gadget Solstice popped up and greeted her, this was the first time Keeri saw Solstice since the first night so naturally, she was in too much shock to realize what was happening and before she knew the wish-granting machine was in her hands and she was making her wish. Keeri knew she messed up when she was stuck in the hospital tent the next day, she broke one of the rules, and now she had to pay the price, only Jemilla knew what happened yet she didn't say a word to anyone for it felt like taboo to speak ill of Keeri who just wanted to get loved by her old friend.
