"All of you who have made it through the first game, congratulations." The person who is wearing a square mask said, "Let me announce the results of the first game."
You watch as the numbers on the screen declines from four hundred and fifty six to two hundred and one before it stopped.
"Out of 456 players, 255 players were eliminated and 201 completed the game."
Looks of utter confusion and disbelief were exchange to some players as it was indeed surreal that they failed to notice how many people had die in just the first game.
Then a woman with long curled hair stepped from the crowd and pleaded, "Sir! I'm so sorry. I'll be sure to pay off my debts. I'll pay them off at all costs." She then got on her knees and continued speaking, "I have a child. I haven't registered my baby's birth because I haven't named my baby yet."
The masked man's expression remained indifferent, so does his body language which shows that they had gotten used to these type of environment.
Another person soon followed her actions, begging to be spared and promised to pay off their debts.
You and 067, who is standing right beside you, could only watch on what these people may do but the staff's responses where something truly unexpected.
"There seems to be a misunderstanding." The square masked person stately calmly, "We are not trying to hurt you or collect your debts. Let me remind you that we're here to give you a chance."
"A chance?" A player repeated, "You call this a chance? You kill us while making us play a kids' game. How is this a chance?"
"We may be in debt but that doesn't mean we deserve to die."
"This is just a game." The masked person replied.
"You killed all those people. Yet you still call this a game?" One player accused them of such vile act that they didn't even tried to hide.
"They were simply eliminated for breaking the rules of the game. If you follow the rules, you can leave this place safely with the prized money we promised."
"I don't need that stupid prize money. Please just let me out." The rest seemed to agree on what the man had said, wishing to leave this place as soon as they can.
"Consent form: Clause 1......" they began, "A player is not allowed to stop playing."
That seemed to annoyed some as one of them yelled out, "You think you'll get away with everything you're doing? The police will barge in any moment now to find who've been missing."
Others added that the police will track their location by their phones and that seemed to push the wrong buttons on the staff who is in charge of overseeing the players in a room.
A gun was soon raised up to the air as you immediately pushed down 067 to the floor before a bullet was shot to the roof, silencing everyone and preventing the situation to escalate further.
She then looked at you in confusion as you could only whisper in her ear, "Those are the staff. Avoid any altercation with them, you'll be fine."
"What kind of place is this?"
"I'll explain if I have a chance to." You said letting go of her as you sat on the floor comfortably.
"Consent form Clause 2: A player who refuses to play will be eliminated."
"Consent form Clause 3." A very familiar voice stated as you turned to see Sang-Woo standing while 456 and 199 was behind him, "Games may be exterminated if majority agrees. Is that correct?"
