Finally the morning came, Willowkit and Mudkit were play fighting in the clearing and the Dawnpatrol was just coming back with some prey in their jaws. Fireheart emerged from the warriors den stretched and padded over to the freshkill pile and settled down next to Graystripe with a Vole. Spottedleaf was just coming out of Bluestar's den with many herbs in her jaws and she looked worried. Brackenpaw and Cinderpaw were practicing their hunting moves and joking with one another from time to time. Fireheart finished the remains of his vole and called Cinderpaw over for battle training. Brackenpaw rushed his mentor to eat his mouse. "OK Cinderpaw come straight towards me and try to hit me.". Cinderpaw came charging at him and before he had time to think he lost his balance and fell to his side, dirt got in his eyes, mouth and fur. he got up spitting out sand and shaking his fur. "Cindrepaw!" he yelled. She looked up scared that she was gonna get scorned "Ye-yes Fireheart?". He shuck his fur once again "That was amazing!". she looked at him shocked " Really! you think so?". She asked him with pride in her voice. "I know so." he purred. Brakenpaw and Graystripe joined them later asking them if they wanted to practice hunting moves. They soon returned Cinderpaw had caught two mice, Brackenpaw had caught a vole and Graystripe and Fireheart both caught a rabbit. Bluestar limped out of her den clearly not recovered from her shoulder injury and jumped up on high rock "All cats old enough to catch their own prey join here for a clan meeting!" her voice rang across the clearing. Willowkit and Mudkit walked out of the nursery their pelt smoothed down and they held their chins up high. "They must be getting their apprentice names!" Fireheart whispered to Graystripe as the kits stood in front of high rock looking up at Bluestar. "Willowkit come up here" She said with a purr in her throat. "You have reached the age of 6 moons, And it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on till you have earned your warrior name you shall be known as Willowpaw. Your mentor will be Mousefur. I hope she will pass down all she knows to you". She said in almost a yell. "Mousefur, you are ready to take on an apprentice again. you received excellent training from Lionheart (Sorry if i got mentor wrong i tried to look up but nothing showed)and you have shown yourself to be clever and brave. You will be the mentor of Willowpaw, i hope you pass on all you learned to her.". Mousefur padded over Willowpaw And sat down next to her waiting for Mudkit to get her name as well. "Mudkit come up here". She said an a calming voice. Mudkit jumped up on jigh rock stood beside Bluestar and waited for her to speak. "You have reached the age of 6 moons, And it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on till you have earned your warrior name you shall be known as Mudpaw. Your mentor will be Whitestorm. I hope he will pass down all he knows to you." she said looking at Mudpaw like she was her own kit. "Whitestorm, you are ready to take on another apprentice. You received excellent training from Patchpelt and you have shown yourself to be brave and skillfull. You will be the mentor of Mudpaw, i hope you will pass down all you know to her". Whitestorm padded over to Mudpaw and Mousefur and Whitestorm touched nose's with their apprentices. "WILLOWPAW, MUDPAW!" the clan yelled. The clan started to break up and get into their dens, Fireheart looked over his shoulder at Spottedleaf who was looking right back at him. The moon shone high in the sky as Fireheart padded over to the medicine den "Spottedleaf it's time to go!" he whisperd into the den. "I'm coming" she said as she padded out of the den. they had to sneak past Whitestorm to get to Fourtrees for their meeting. Once they arrived they sat on the Great rock and they looked up at the star's. "Fireheart, i need to tell you something" she said nervously. "What do you need" Fireheart asked her. "Well umm i dont know how else to say this but I'm expecting.". Fireheart looked at her with surprise "Yo-You mean I'm gonna be a father!" He asked her excitingly. "Yes that's what i mean were gonna be parents" she said.
