I woke up very nervous that morning because the concert was in the evening. I was anxious to see Noel again after that awkward moment at the store yesterday.
I just read all morning, my favourite writer is Jane Austen, I have read all of her novels, many times, my favorite being Pride and Prejudice.
Austen helped me a lot after my father died, because despite the immense sorrow that pierced my heart, my spirit was able to escape to a better place throughout the chapters.
I love the character of Fitzwilliam Darcy, he's a man who listens, who pays attention to every word Elizabeth says, from the beginning to the end of the story. He hears and most importantly, he understands what she is saying. He re-evaluates himself based on her opinions, and that makes him a better man at the end of the story. He's honest, he speaks his mind... He's a man of action, when he says something he does it.
I have dreamed of being a Lizzie and finding my Darcy.
I got a message from Noel around 4 p.m. "Come to the venue at 8 p.m., give your name to the security guard, he will let you in. NG x "
I replied okay and went to get ready. I couldn't wait to see him on stage.
I let the very hot water cover my body for long minutes, I felt my muscles relax, I took long, deep breaths and my mind relaxed too, it's crazy how breathing makes it all better...
I let my hair dry naturally, I love the wavy effect it has like that. I did my makeup.
A bit of eyeliner, mascara, powder on my cheekbones and a light pink lipstick, very discreet.
But I didn't know how to dress, I didn't know if I was going to be backstage or in the pit for the concert, I went for something comfortable.
So tonight I was going to be the girl in black. Dark patterned pants, a black sweater, black shoes, a black hat as well. I matched my outfit with accessories that I loved, necklaces and rings.
It was almost 7:00 p.m. when I decided go there. The Liverpool's arena was a 15 minute walk from the apartment. But I wanted to eat something on the way. I went to the Docks, my favorite place in Liverpool.
I always came for a walk here back in the days, during the winter, I liked to see the fog playing through the buildings, I liked this mysterious atmosphere.
8pm. I was in front of the huge concert hall, and just seeing the letters in red "Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds" impressed me.
There was hardly anyone waiting outside, which surprised me.
I walked towards the entrance and as Noel asked, I gave my name to a security guard, he looked for it on a paper and he asked me to follow him. After going through several doors, several stairs we arrived at the left side of the stage. My heart was beating fast.
He told me I could watch the concert from here, that the band would come over to the other side. He gave me a necklace to put around my neck, it was a VIP badge with a picture of Noel on it and then he left.
I immediately understood why no one was waiting outside, everyone was already in here, I heard the fans screaming, singing.
I moved a few meters towards the stage and I saw this packed room as well as these drinks, probably beers, flying from right to left and from left to right. It was impressive.
There were a lot of people around me, mostly technicians and I guess people from Noel's team. They were doing the final adjustments. Roadies took care of tuning the guitars on stage. There was so much movement around me that I was afraid to get in the way, I tried to make myself as small as possible.
In a matter of seconds, everyone was gone. The lights went out and then, the crowd went totally crazy. People were screaming his name over and over again, and the band came on stage.
Noel waved to the cheering crowd, he picked up his guitar and they started playing. I couldn't believe being there, seeing him on stage. I had never had this chance before and I was over the moon.
I didn't missed a beat of the concert, my eyes were on Noel and I sang all the songs as ardently as the crowd in front of him.
After the second song he thanked the audience and turned his head to the left, he knew I was there and he was looking for me.
I had my phone in my hands I was taking some pictures, I couldn't help it, he was so beautiful, so sexy.
I lifted my head from my cell phone and we looked at each other, he was smiling.
He showed me a guitar close to where I was and motioned for me with his hands to take it and come to play next to him, a nod to our evening at the Cavern.
I took a photo at this exact moment.
I think I had the biggest smile in the world at that point. And the reddest cheeks of England.
The concert came to an end and the band thanked the audience. They left and the curtains were closed.
Once again I found myself among a crowd of technicians.
Not knowing where to go, I waited in a corner when I heard my name, I turned and Noel was walking toward me, he hugged me to say hello.
"Come on, let's go."
