"This town is really where you live, Natsu?" Y/N asks as her eyes were still scanning the stuff around her and still gripping his shoulders to keep in place.
Everywhere Y/N looked were points of interest that pointed toward a bustling port town with literal added magic to it. The world may have been different but the architecture was similar to the modern worlds albeit dated in some capacity.
The smooth blades of grass led into a dirt track way which, too, changed into what appeared to be ivory brick path which fed into the city itself, with houses made out of bricked stone topped with colorful tiled rooftops ranging from weathered reds and blues to gleaming cyans with the buildings of all shapes and sizes that also had a lot more overhead bridges and walkways than one might expect--think Copenhagen Denmark or Blakeney, Norfolk, England.
There were a mixture of people, some with sun-weathered chocolaty skin tones as well as fair-skinned people all boasting uniquely colored hair just like a certain pinkette. They dressed for the current weather, in clothing that allowed for airflow or protected against the heat.
The smells and sounds of a myriad of people chattering were the most distinctive feature beyond the strange houses and shops all based around the one thing the town collectively took joy in; fishing.
Although a fantasy world this town was probably the closest thing to normal to someone from Earth opposed to Earthland.
In response to her question Natsu readjusted her over his back for the umpteenth time or so having been doing so regularly. He glanced about looking at the citizens who were mostly just your run-of-the-mill crowd with the odd and again weirdo.
His brows knitted together as he spoke, "Live here? Nah. Hardly anything happens around these parts. Ugh... I remember this one time I was left behind on a train here."
Y/N was kinda surprised he was left behind on a train before, unless he did something to provoke that judging by his attitude... but she didn't think his friends go that far.
"Left behind? Did you get into a dramatic argument to make them want to do something like that?" Y/N asks as her eyebrow raised by the possibility of that. "That wasn't the real reason why you're here all by yourself, is it...?"
"Ha! Izzat how you think of me? No, it wasn't anythin' like that..."
Was all that he replied to her. He didn't want to go into details about this blunder, he was catching his breath within the train with his head out the window and by that time or maybe even before Happy the Cat had stepped out of the train cart only for it to, moments later, leave with a motion sick Natsu.
It was probably his fault but would he admit that? Not vocally.
"...We'll fix up that leg of yours first before headin' over to the guild. Gotta be some kinda... I dunno, healing person around here."
Y/N didn't quite get his response... but she rather not get into another possible argument with him, despite it being a bit amusing to her... but Y/N rather she see him calm then fired up like a actual flame.
Y/N raised her brow again from his next response "You mean a doctor...? This town here has to have a hospital nearby, right?"
"Hahaha! Yeah, that!"
His head swished side-to-side with his eyes squinted. "Hmm! HMM!"
Now this garnered more stares for an entirely different reason, one less wholesome than the passerby assuming they were romantic partners out on a trip. Natsu looked like a madman as he tried to search high and low for any indication of a healing center of sorts.
