Homeless Mate

Laurens Pov:

"Camz! Camz!"

"Lauren whats wrong!" I couldn't think straight, worry was clouding my judgment.

"I- my my mate she...shes"

"Lauren breath." My bestfriend and alpha; camila, held me in her arms. She calmed me down instantly.  Thing about Alphas is they have a bond with each pack member, physical contact has a comforting affect.

"She's in an alley, I tried calling her and her phone went straight to voicemail."

Camila lead us to her bedroom where a sleeping y/n and Dinah were.

"Babe I need to help lauren with something very important, I need you to watch y/n oh and make sure your phone is on you."

"Okay...be safe"

Camila and I walked out also bringing mani with us for extra support and safety in numbers.

While we were in the care I was keeping close tabs on my mates location, my hand slightly shaking.

"Lauren its gonna be ok, shes gonna be ok." Normani said squeezing laurens shoulder.

"Thanks Mani, I'm just scared. Shes so innocent and sweet...my heart would shatter if anything happened to her."

"We know Lo and thats why we are gonna get her and keep her safe." The Alpha stated not taking her eyes off the road.

After a few more minutes Camila parked the car by the alley the tracker said Waverly was.

I could tell camilas protective Alpha insticts were kicking in so I grabbed her arm to settle her inner wolf. She then grabbed manis hand making sure she was safe too.

I heard small whimpers coming from the dark alley as we startes walking forward.

I shown my flashlight down and saw a bundle of old ratty Sleeping bags and  clothes.

"Waves? Baby?"

The bundle moved and a small head peaked out of the bundle. Her hair was messy and she had a nasty bruise forming on her right cheek.

My poor baby.

I bent down so that we were closer to eye level and I opened my arms for her.

She immediately took my invitation for a hug. I didn't get what happened, if she was homeless why didn't she tell me? Why didn't she look homeless? How was she able to go to teh club?

There were so many questions I had but when I felt and heard small whimpers coming from her I forgot all of my thoughts.

"Come on baby, we are going home." She nodded and clung to me as I picked her up. Normani grabbed her things and camila walked behind us.

After mani put her stuff in the trunk she open the right sides passenger door for us.

I gently laid the small girl down on the seats, her head resting on my lap. I brushed her hair from time to time till we got home.

She was sound asleep so I carried her to my room and changed her into one of my hoodies and camila let her barrow some pj pants because mine would have been to big for her.

"Hey Laur I know you want to get to ved with your mate but I need to talk  to you." Camila said peaking her head into my room.

"Ok camz I'll be right out"

I turned the light off and kissed Waverlys forehead closing the door softly.

Camila and I met in her office to talk so we wouldn't disturb any sleeping wolves.

"Lauren your my bestfriend, I've never seen you so scared in your life. Are you ok?"

I shook my head and thats when the water works came. Camila got up from her seat and hugged me.

"Shhh your ok" camila said and repeated while rubbing my back.

"Its-its just I- I haven't even told her yet...im scared to loose her and I-Ive heard the horror stories of loosing your mate I dont wanna loose her. But i know she not gonna want me."

"Lauren your smart but you must be so utterly blind if you cant see that your mate feels the connection. I could tell the way she was clinging to you. The way she acted around you when you guys first met. Its gonna be ok and when you tell her and she excpets you for you you'll look back and say I was right."

I smailed and camz, she really was my rock in so many ways. I grabbed her and pulled her into me.

"Thank you, thank you Camz youve always been there for me. Ever since we were kids, I remember the time mamí y papí took us to the park and there was this boy who was being mean to you. I defended you but then he pushed me and started making fun of me. You got so mad, probably the first time your alpha came out poor boy ran for the hill when you socked him in the nose." Camila chuckled remembering that day.

"I remember papí putting me in time out for 10 minutes, then saying how proud of me he was and how I'd make a great Alpha one day."

"I love you camila, thank you for always protecting me."

"Of course Lauren, you were the first wolf that I imprinted on to be one of my wolves. We are family and we will always be. My mamí and papí are yours, oh that reminds me soon we shoule take a trip to Miami to see them soon."

"Yes we should."

"Well lo I hope your feeling a bit better, Im off to bed." She got up and turned off the light.

"Good night Camz"

"Goodnight Lo"

I walked to my bedroom, pulled my sheets back and slowly snuck into bed next to my Sleeping mate.
