Never Can Say Goodbye

Izuku Midoriya was a jubilant child, however, he was a mute.

This is because he developed a tumor sometime after his mother's death after the age of 5.

His father, Hisashi Midoriya, was a billionaire, who paid a lot to remove the tumor. This came at a cost.

Izuku had to lose his voice.

Izuku and Hisashi agreed and they performed the operation. It was a success, but this would merely be the start of his tragic life.

He would constantly be bullied for his inability to speak. Pushed down to the ground and kicked and punched mercilessly by the other kids.

He fell in love with a girl named Momo Yaoyorozu, who he had protected once. But since high school she had turned a blind eye and viewed him as though he were a foul creature because she had forgotten about him.

He saw also the irritation on her face whenever he was around her and she had also told him hurtful things. His heart aches knowing that he was just a pebble in her shoe. He had seen the happy smiles she had when he saw Momo and her boyfriend kissed. It pierced his heart, but he didn't want to do anything out of pity and for petty and selfish reasons.

Although the girl he had saved and fell in love with now was now irked by his presence, there was one person who stood by his side.

Denki Kaminari. Izuku considered him as a brother, even though he was his playmate.

Her parents were forever indebted to Izuku and they wanted to arrange a marriage with her. However, Momo was already dating Shoto Todoroki and she began to despise Izuku with all her being. Izuku saw and heard the pain in her face and voice.

She once told him to meet her at the mall for clothes shopping, when in actuality, she went on a date with Shoto. It began drizzle then pour. Izuku knowing full well where she was, still smiled and left the mall in the rain as he painfully imagined Momo and Shoto kissing and enjoying their time together.

When he got home, he placed a hand on the gramophone and radio his mother owned. But he grabbed his phone and out on a song.

No matter what pain he went through, he wanted to smile through life. Even if it meant losing his own happiness.

When Momo got home, her parents asked her how the mall shopping with Izuku went. Momo froze as she remembered that she was supposed to go shopping with Izuku today.

She lied saying that it was good.

The next day at school, Izuku wrote to Kaminari all about what happened.

Kaminari couldn't believe that she could be so heartless. He wanted to do something about it, but Izuku wouldn't let him.

Kaminari was glad he had Izuku as a friend. Though he may not speak, he listens very well.

This was when Momo came up and called Izuku, who nodded.

Kaminari grabbed his wrist as he looked at Momo with fiery angry eyes.

Kaminari: Leave him alone, already. You're making him suffer enough as it is you heartless, insufferable bitch.

Momo was about to retort until Kaminari wrapped his shoulder around Izuku and they walked off.

She didn't know why, but she had this instinct to run after Izuku and apologize.

After school, Kaminari had to go home and invited Izuku over. He kindly declined the invitation and Kaminari was worried, but he left.
