Nightmare Comfort| Crash Man x Reader

(A/N: So you know how I mentioned Heat Man in Dr. Light's lab in the Heat Man x Reader Oneshot? Well, in this book, all these stories take place in my universe, where all of Dr. Wily's robots are reprogrammed to work for Dr. Light. Just a little clearing up for any confusion! Also, Crash Man has normal hands along with his drill hands in my universe! He can change which hands to use at his own will)

Crash Man was in a huge battle with Dr. Wily, who he was rescuing you from. He was protecting you with his very life on the line, and he was giving it his all to defeat Wily. However...soon it came to the point where Crash had been knocked away from you to the ground and was exhausted. Wily was widely grinning at his triumph. "Bwahahaha! Yes!! Finally, I have won!!" Wily cackled.

Crash started to get up, luckily he wasn't severely injured, then a Sniper Joe came from behind and held Crash back. "HEY!! LET ME GO!!" Crash yelled, struggling to get free from the Sniper Joe's grip. Wily grinned as he faced you, whose hands were tightly tied up in ropes. "Now to get rid of YOU!!" He said with an evil glare. Crash's eyes widened in horror as Wily charged up a laser from his machine. You looked at Crash with a sad smile. "Guess this is goodbye...I love you Crash..." You said.

"Y/N!!! NOOOOO!!!" Crash cried out as Wily shot the laser through your chest. You collapsed to the ground, blood trailing from your chest. Crash broke free from the Sniper Joe's grasp and drilled a huge hole in its head. He then ran over to your limp, cold body and picked you up in his arms as Wily insanely cackled. "Y/N...no....Y/N...." Tears formed in his eyes and trailed down his cheeks at the sight of your lifeless body. He threw his head back and wailed. "Y/N!!!!"

Crash woke up with a start, crying out your name. His breathing was quick and heavy, and his heart pounded hard against his chest as he frantically looked around the room. Startled awake from his cry, you rubbed your eyes and sat up. "Mmm...Crash...? Everything okay...?" You mumbled sleepily. Crash looked at you with a distressed expression on his face. The moment he saw you, he realized what had happened was all just a dream. He immediately hugged you tight, bursting into tears. "C-Crash? Oh my...what happened...?" You asked, concerned. Crash Man held you close and held you tight, sobbing. "Did you have a nightmare...?" Crash nodded, tears trickling down his cheeks. "Oh no...do you want to talk about it?" You asked.

Crash explained the nightmare he had, his voice breaking, and your eyes widened. "Oh my god..." Crash started crying again. "Thank God it was all just a dream...I don't want to lose you, Y/N..." He said between sobs. You hugged him tight and rubbed his back as you let him cry on your shoulder, and you comforted him in a soothing tone. "Shhh...it's okay babe...everything is alright...I'm here...everything is okay..." You gave him a sweet, loving kiss to calm him, and he gladly accepted it, kissing you back. When your lips parted, you wiped his tears away and smiled softly. Crash smiled back and nuzzled the nape of your neck. "I love you so much baby doll..." He said. "I love you too baby~" You said. "I swear I'll protect you with my life!" Crash vowed, and you smiled.

The both of you laid back down, and Crash wrapped his arms around you, holding you close. You hummed a little lullaby as you gently petted his head. Crash closed his eyes and let your beautiful voice lull him to sleep, and it wasn't long before he drifted off. "Goodnight, Crash~ Sleep tight~" You whispered, smiling and giving him a kiss on the forehead. You curled up close to your wonderful lover and closed your eyes, soon drifting off to sleep.
