Prologue: Plastic Magnolia

Magic.

Such a vast concept, encompassing all the beauty in the world, and all of its danger as well. Characterized as mysteries and miracles.

Sadly, true magic has died out over the years. The Age of Gods has come to an end, and all beasts of phantasmal nature have retreated to the Reverse Side of the World. A world unreachable to all hands, forever resting to usher in the Age of Humanity.

The Magician's, the rare few who can use True Magic, are scarce in number, not even reaching the second digits.

The natural Mana of the world has vastly dried out compared to its density in the Age of Gods, the natural Od circulating within all things deteriorating in quality, rendering some Magi as ordinary humans.

However, the Magi of today are still quite numerous, although a secretive bunch.

Though True Magic is no longer widespread amongst all Magi, the known mysteries of today are still utilized in the form of Magecraft, though its nature is artificial.

Rather than the fantastical means that brought about miracles of the past, supernatural theory is the method to achieve that which is found or unfounded by science.

The definition of magic is no longer something unique, found one in a million.

It is a replicable practice, hindered only by the natural reserves and the quality and number of magic circuits, dictating the flow of Od throughout oneself.

For example: Reinforcement.

It is a staple Magecraft, the ability to alter one's physical limitations artificially, such as reinforcing the muscle tendons within the legs to withstand the impact of jumping off a building. Almost any Magus can use this Magecraft, such is the nature of its name. It is not Magic. It is a replicable process.

Thus the name: Magecraft.

However, in the hands of some, a common practice can become a tyrannical weapon in their hands. Reinforcement can be used to reinforce a weapon along with the body, making a wooden sword as deadly as sharpened steel, or making a mere sheet of paper an indestructible shield.

This is either due to one's ladent power, the magic circuits being high quality...

Or the result of their Origin...

Everything in the world is derived from the Akashic Root, the source of all mysteries and events.

One's Origin is essentially the nature of their existence, where they stem from. It determines the actions they shall take in life, granting them certain affinity to that which is related to their origin.

For example, a Magus with an Origin that forsakes their ability in all elements of Magus life, thus making a Third-Rate, is not necessarily useless. Their Origin may allow for the manifestation of a greater Magecraft.

Essentially, they are a specialist, excelling only in a single field, making them unassuming, yet dangerous.

Heaven's Feel.

A ritual dedicated to the goal of all Magi: Reach the Akashic Root, the all knowing source of all things.

It is the goal of every Magus to pursue knowledge to the best of their abilities, even should they be third-rate at best.

Seven Familiars, pulled from the Throne of Heroes shall be summoned, and partnered with a Magus as their Master.

A partnership between Masters and Servants, each with their own goals, aiming for the magical artifact, said to grant wishes...
