Chapter 49 Prey

Starblaze P.O.V.

Smoke and I arrived above ground right by Megahead's giant fortress of doom. "Cozy place you've beuilt for yourself Megatron. The forge in there may take a while." Smoke said.

"well what if it's not in there?" I asked. "Well then were scrapped." Smoke said. "Well maybe he keeps them on his warship?" i said. "yeah maybe your right, let's try there first." smoke said as we snuck onto to the warship.

I hope we dont get caught. We walked through a few walls and ended up in the I guess Trophy room. We saw the forge and the star saber. "hello Beautiful." Smoke said as he was in close encounter with the forge.

"That is a huge hammer, I sure hope this isnt like thor's hammer where only Optimus can pick it up." I said. "who's Thor?" Smoke asked. "uh I'll let you watch it some other time.." I said. He nodded. We got the forge and headed back towards Oppi. It was sure heavy.

Ultra Magnus P.O.V.

Once we lost the dragon as Miko put it we went towards two other signals. I assume it was Ratchet and Bumblebee's. We landed and all came out. I saw Ratchet, Bee and Raph all standing there.

"Your alive." Ratchet said. "Indeed." I said. "The communication link need more work to reach the others signals. THe ground bridge is fully operational." Ratchet said. "that would have come in hand when robodragon was trying to eat us for Breakfast." Miko stated. Jack was trying to get her to be quiet.

Ratchet looked shocked had his mouth dropped open.  I watched as an airal jet came flying at us. It was fowler. They landed and mrs.darby came down with Agent F. I watched the humans all hug each other.

Wishing that I could hold my sweetspark in my arms. "the only signals that Ultra Magnus was able to pick up are standing right here." Arcee said. "Maybe his scanners faulty." Wheeljack said. "The kid and Starblaze are unaccounted for." Bulkhead said.

"Only Optimus knows where. And he stayed behind to destroy the ground bridge to make sure everone made it to safety." Ratchet said sadly. "We must stop Megatron, with or without Optimus prime." I told everyone.

Starblaze P.O.V.

We walked back through the rock wall dragging the forge fo solus prime. Oppi was still here with us. "Optimus,We have the forge you can use it to repair yoruself." Smoke said. I kneeled by Oppi and took his servo in mine.

"that is not the reason I asked you to retrieve the relic." Oppi said. "What I dont understand?" Smoke said. Neither did I. "It's power is not limited , it's power has begun to ebb." Oppi said. "So it's running low who cares,all we need is enough juice to get you back to fighting shape." Smokescreen said.

"Whatever power is left needs to be used to rebuild the omega lock. to restore cybertron." Oppi said. No I wont let this happen. "The importance of our kind is more than that of anyone else including me." Oppi said.

I put my helm in one of my servo's trying to think of what we could do.

Ultra Magnus P.O.V.

"We must do everything in our power to insure  Megatron's downfall. Including being smart about it." I told everyone. "Whoa who put shoulder pads in commander?" Wheeljack countered. "Well I am the commander." I said smugly. 'Temporary command." Jack said.

"Ultra Magnus is the only logical choice.who was trained by Optimus, who served as a commanding officer throughout the war of cybertron." Ratchet explained to the others. "Now please follow me." I told them as I headed back to my ship. "aye aye captain." Wheeljack mumbled but I heard.

If Starblaze was here she would have laughed. We got on board and I opened my weapon compartment. "Autobots take your pick." I said as I watched them gather the weapons of their choice.

Starblaze P.O.V.

"Optimus? the forge is a relic of the primes.We cant use it to restore cybertron without a prime.Not without you." Smokescreen said as he laid a servo on Oppi shoulder.

"There will be a new prime." Oppi said. "You can work that out after we get you patched up and take down megatron." Smoke said. "the time for a new leader is upon us.In my spark I believe that leader stand before me right now." Oppi said to Smoke.

Smoke's eyes were wide as were mine.
