"Bye Rin, See you tomorrow!"

Saewoo waved her hand in air, smiling wide to Herin while walking off.

Herin watched her go into the street, hands tightly gripping bag straps as a low sigh left her red tinted lips.
Turning back around to glance one last time at the school building, the one circling thought not leaving her head,

Renjun was absent today.

She quickly took her eyes off the huge metal gate and proceeded to walk to her way home.

The afternoon sun was shining on the surface of earth with trees being moved tenderly by the summer breeze. A rise of joy gleamed in the girl strolling by the towering trunks of wood.

Her breath already soothing out with the smell of nature's enthralling art.

Herin inhaled deeply while smiling above at the sky with the same thought failing to be ignored by her.
Yet, a part of her scolded her selfless mind. Saying that it's absolutely normal for a student to be absent.

Suddenly, she halted in the middle of the street.

"I don't even have his number!"

Getting weird stares thrown a her, Herin murmured a polite sorry and rushed out of the public eye.

She sighed, thinking how overly dramatic she was being. Taking a mental note to ask for Renjun's number, Herin resumed her walk down the uncrowded pathway.

Her head whipped to the sound of metal rusting together nearby, eyes meeting an old man's desperate figure.
Her heart clenched at the sight.

His worn out clothes that were barely clean along with the exhausted wrinkles on his tan skin, hair messed up since his last ever shower.
Boney arms that were extended out, holding the metal pot with pennies and dimes shaked as his hands trembled.

"P-Please."
He pleaded for money.

Herin didn't waste a moment into rummaging through her bag, trying to find any amount of money to give.
Getting out some coins that were double the ones in his rusted pot, she gently placed them into it.

Not forgetting to give the man a small smile, Making his white beard rise up while returning the smile.

"Hope you have a good day and things get better."
She waved a bye motion to the man counting his now-useable money.

Herin continued her way home peacefully, not knowing all the wonderful blessings the man sent for her.

--

"I'm going out now!"

"Wait."
Taewon's stern voice caused Herin to stop in her tracks, clutching her phone closely. She turned around to see Taewon leaning on the wooden wall with his arms crossed.

"When will you be back?"
He eyed her outfit, a usual baby blue plaid skirt with a large white t-shirt hovering over her upper thighs.

Herin glanced at the time,
"Um..Around ten?"

"K, stay safe."
With that he walked back into the kitchen.

Herin let out a soft sigh and dashed outside, taking in the glowing night sky along with the fresh air.

Trees calmly smashing against the air's pleasant petrichor scent, the moon covering up like a blanket. The girls footsteps being echoed in the silent street as neon billboards reflected on her milky skin.

Brushing past a few shops ands stalls, Herin came to stop in front of a flower shop.

Her eyes gazed the numerous flowers and bouquet's. Silk Ribbons tenderly wrapped around the expensive stems. The single flowers flushed into the water vase while their petals alluringly shined.

Herin decided to walk into the shop, quietly opening it's glass door as the bell above rang on her arrival.

She watched the flowers with awe while stroking a few of the rose petals.

"Can I get you something?"
She looked to her side, an old women who owned the store, stood there with a warm smile.

Returning a the smile, Herin nodded. "Do you have any lilies?"

The wrinkles of the women crumpled up as she happily raised her smile
"Of course dear! follow me."

She lead Herin to the left corner, a huge purple vase that sat on the wooden table, with water embodied into it while the graceful white lilies conquered it's place.

The women picked up a fully grown lily, it's snowy petals beaming out making Herin gasp in it's beauty.

"This is a white Easter Lily."
The owner grazed her fingers on the smooth flower, her eyes being heavy by the saggy old skin.

"It's beautiful." Herin spoke out, voice almost falling into a thin whisper.

The women's lips curved up, watching Herin. "It's only for a few won's."

Herin gave a glistering smile and nodded, "I'll take it."
The women let out a small chuckle and sauntered behind the counter to gently have it in a colorless plastic paper with water, Decorating the single flower with a ribbon and tag.

"It might naturally lose itself after three or four days but, place it in water to keep it safe."
"Thank you."
Herin said, paying the price.

She bowed and walked out the shop, Flower in hand.

Taking in it's godly smell, Herin's eyes were aglow with satisfaction. Wanting to brag about the beauty of the flower and it's appealing scent.

She let out a quiet laugh while hugging the flower close and making her way to the forest's river, secretly hoping Renjun would be there.

But to her dismay, He wasn't in sight for her the whole day
