Your P.O.V.

"Cadet (L/n)!" Captain Levi glared in my direction. "You're late. Again."

"Yes sir! I'm sorry sir!" I sprinted to take my place in line to be assigned our daily tasks. I gave him a salute and tried to avoid eye contact.

"Tch." He looked away from me and continued lecturing Erin.

"(Y/n), are you feeling okay?" Sasha whispered next to me. "You were late yesterday too, and your looking a little pale."

"Yea yea I'm fine just over slept."

"Got something to share with the rest of us cadet?" Captain Levi was directly in front of me. His face dangerously close to mine. I could feel my heart beating at 1000mph.

"N-no sir!" 'Shit im done for.' I thought to myself. I held my breath as his eyes scanned me up and down.

"You're all dismissed, except for Cadet (L/n). They will be running laps until I say to stop." Levi announced harshly, his eyes never once leaving mine. " Go get busy on your chores, I'd better not catch anyone slacking or talking to (L/N) understand?."

"Yes sir!" All of the other cadets shouted in unison.

You had been running for hours. Starting with the blaring sun beating down on your already worn out body, now clouds had covered the sky as rain began to fall.

Your P.O.V.

'I knew something was wrong.' I cursed myself.

-Yesterday you had woken up feeling under the weather and, while you felt a little better today, you still were NOT at 100%-

I could feel myself wearing down. My feet dragging more and more with each step. The cold wet rain soaking my clothes as they stuck to my body. I was nauseous, tired, and hungry. 'I feel like I'm gonna pass out!'

Eventually my 'running' pace was nothing more than a speed walk.

"Cadet!" Came a harsh voice. "Cadet! Pick up the pace! At this rate you'll be nothing but Titan food!"

I paused to catch my breath. Giving Captain Levi a sloppy salute I turned to face him and attempted to apologize. "I-"

Captain Levi's face came in and out of focus as black dots creeped into the corners of my vision. Waves of nausea coursing through me. "I'm sorry.......  Captain." I swallowed in an attempt to calm my stomach, but that simple action was all it took for me to loose my footing and fall headfirst into the mud.

Levi's P.O.V.

"Pick up the pace! At this rate you'll be nothing but Titan food!" I yelled to cadet (L/n). They stopped and turned to face me, giving a poor excuse of a salute. 'Tch. I never told the brat they could stop running.'

"I-"... they began to sway back and forth. "I'm sorry..... Captain."

*BAM*

Before my mind could process what happened, (Y/n) was on the ground, unresponsive.

"(L/n)!" I immediately turned them over, relieved to find a steady pulse. But the temperature of their skin was alarming.

"Is everything alright over here?" Shitty glasses came running.

"Tch." I looked down at (Y/n). "Stupid brat just passed out is all. I'll take care of it."

I carried them off to my bedroom. I gently laid them down on the floor.

"Tch. Stupid dirty brat. You can lay there until you are awake enough to take care of yourself." I started to walk away, then I heard a groan of pain. I looked over at (Y/n) yo see their face contorted in pain as sweat ran down their shaking form. *sigh*
"damn useless brat."

Your P.O.V.

"Damn useless brat." I heard someone say. I felt a rough hand on my forehead, then slide down to my cheek. "You're really burning up."

I opened my eyes only to be bet with a blurry outline of, what looked to be, Captain Levi sitting on the floor next to me.

"Huh? C-Captain?" 'Shit I sound pathetic.'

His facial expression softened, he took his hand away from my face. "Can you get up? You need to get out of these wet clothes."

"I-uh- yea. Yea I think so." I pushed myself into a sitting position. This made me feel dizzy. As I shut my eyes to compose myself I felt Levi's hands on my shoulders.

"(Y/n)?" I opened my eyes to look at him. ' did he just use my first name...?' I felt myself blush.

"Just dizzy." I mumbled and moved my eyes away from his.

"Hm." He stood himself up, "C'mon." He put one arm under my legs and the other behind my back. Carrying me bridal style. "We need to get you out of these wet clothes, it'll make your fever worse."

"I-uh- wait we?"

"Tch. Don't read into brat."

He sat me down on a chair and went to what I assumed was his closet. He came back carrying a plain white t shirt and some black shorts.

"This should fit." He said as he brought the clothes over to me.
"Strip."

"W-wait Captain I-"

"Tch. I said don't read into it. You need to change. I'd help anyone out in a situation like this!"

"Even Erin?" I smirked. Levi turned a little bit red in the face as he looked away. He threw the clothes into my face and turned away.

"Just change you brat." After changing into the new clothes Levi led me to his bed. "Lay down and get some rest." He demanded.

I laid down in the bed and Levi pulled the covers up to my shoulders.

"Sorry I couldn't finish running today, sir." I was disappointed with myself. I wanted nothing more to impress this man, and yet, he had to save me from the rain. How pathetic!

"Don't be. I should have called you to stop when the rain started. I knew you weren't feeling good that last two days. I was just hoping you'd have enough common sense to tell me."

"S-sorry." I felt my face heat up even more due to embarrassment. Then Levi put his hand on my cheek.

"Your fever is getting worse." He scoffed

"I-oh.."

"I'll be back. Don't move."

Levi's P.O.V.

I went and got a bowl of cool water, a cloth, and some tea for (Y/n), hoping to bring the fever down. When I came back into the room, they were already fast asleep under the covers. I couldn't help but smile.

I brought the bowl and the tea to the table next to the bed. After dipping the rag into the cold liquid, I gently wiped their face before wringing it out again and placing it on (Y/n)s forehead.

"Tch. Shit. When did I fall for such a shitty brat."
