Ethan's POV
I abhorred humans. They are disgusting creatures. I detest them. They took everything from me. I have no home, no shelter, no family. I only had the pack and even they have their limits. I have an unrivaled hatred for humans. I lost them when I was a pup, I remember it like it was yesterday.
("Mommy! Daddy! I had so much fun. Can we get Mcfarm? Please!" I said with excitement. We had just gotten back for the Arcade. I was so hungry I couldn't wait till home so I begged my parents for food. How I wish I could take it back, save myself from the heartache I would soon face.
"Sure, sweety." My mom said, She was like the light in the sky to me. So caring and understanding. I desperately wish she was still alive. Turning the car around and heading to Mcfarms.
The ride was peaceful. Then it wasn't. Bullets flew right and left. The car swerved, toppling over, landing upside down.
My parents were hanging there lifeless. Pale and sickly. I was utterly confused. We are werewolves, we don't die that easily. We were tough and almost unkillable. I was scared, I had no family. I could smell humans walking to the car, I was terrified. I unhooked the seat belt and fell on the hood. I had scratches all over my knees and hands. I pressed through the pain and made it to the trunk. I opened it and ran without even looking back. I ran to the forest. I ran and just kept running. I made it to the pack house by following the scent.
I could be kicked from the pack and made a rouge. I prayed that didn't happen because then I really would have no one.
Bursting through the front door. I ran to the Alpha's office. Bragging through, I run to the Alpha and fall on my knees.
"Humans. Hunters. Dead. Parents." Only able to get those few words out, the Alpha understood. He ordered all pack members and their mates back to the pack house for mandatory lock down.
"Listen, my fellow pack members. We have hunters in the vicinity. Human hunters. They have killed two of your fellow pack members. Daphne and Jared Millstone, have been killed leaving only their son as their survivor. You all understand what this means. They have wolfsbane. Be alert and watch your children. Is anyone willing to take Ethan in?"
The room went silent. If a pen dropped the sound would echo through the room.
"Very well. I will be taking Ethan in as my son. I understand taking in a pup that is not yours is against our nature. But I expected at least one of you to volunteer. I hope it is not because he is an omega. That should not be a deciding factor. Omega's exist to uplift a pack and make them stronger. I am quite disappointed."
After his speech he lifts me up and carries me to his room that he shared with the Luna. He sat me down and went to talk to the Luna.
He and the Luna entered the room a few minutes later, holding a first aid kit. They took the glass out and yet I couldn't feel anything, it's like my brain shut down. Wiping it clean and wrapping it up, they place me under the covers. Turning off the lights they leave me to my thoughts. I was alone now. I remember having an awful nightmare the first night.
All I can see is darkness. There's nothing around for miles. Shadowy figures appeared. I'm beyond terrified at this point. The shadowy figures had faces. I saw my mom and dad. I ran to them hoping to feel them hug me one last time. But I just keep running with no end in sight. I started to cry and scream. I want them so bad, my body's being shaken awake thankfully taking me away from the nightmare.
