hi pretty people! so i don't really know what this is... i was watching season 3 of tvd and this idea popped into my head. normally i write for bonnie but i was really feeling the forbes this morning so i ran with it. i typed this out in one sitting and it's not very good but reading it makes me so happy for some reason so i decided to share it with you. this isn't rly a romantic pairing fic, it mostly focuses on bon and care's friendship. the ending is pretty vague so you can fill in the blanks yourself. if you clicked this fic for klaroline you can easily imagine them as the end pairing and if you clicked on it for forwood i got you covered as well. there's no specific timeline for when this takes place because caroline was never actually put in this situation and obviously nora and klaus weren't on the show at the same time, but for the sake of the story just ignore all those details. i think that's all. enjoy this fluffy one shot, my loves!
Caroline hadn't left her bed since 8 AM. She checked the clock on her wall. 3 PM. Great.
She woke up eager to start the day, but once she checked her phone, her mood dropped and she flopped back onto her bed. The notification that made her happiness crumble like a sugar cookie was a text from Tyler, reading 'can we talk?'
Just thinking about that damn text was going to make her scream.
"Can we talk?" She repeated to herself in a mimic voice. She didn't care that she was talking to herself, she was distressed.
There are only two directions a conversation leading with 'can we talk,' can go. Bad and horrible. And Caroline knew that if she had this talk with Tyler, it would go horribly. Because she knew exactly what he wanted to talk about; Klaus.
Why was Klaus the root of all her problems lately?
Tyler would definitely want to talk about how Klaus 'fancied' her. And how he assumed that she felt the same about him. Even though she'd made it abundantly clear that she didn't . She didn't want to talk about that. She wanted Klaus to just disappear. It was Tyler that was refusing to let go of him - not her.
She tried her best to focus on the movie that was playing on the screen. She didn't know what it was about, all she knew is that it wasn't good enough to distract her from her disintegrating love life. She let out a loud, dramatic groan.
"Is this a bad time?" The quiet voice of her best friend, Bonnie, squeaked from behind the door.
"No." Caroline said. She sat up for what felt like the first time in weeks.
Bonnie opened the door and smiled her bright smile. Caroline was already feeling better.
"Scooch." Bonnie ordered, making Caroline move to the other side of the bed. She got under the covers and leaned her head on Care's shoulder. "What are we watching?"
"Couldn't tell you, honestly." Caroline mumbled.
"What's wrong? You're still in bed." Bonnie pointed out.
