Neighbor || Seokrona (Rewriting)

Christmas eve

December 24th, 2019, 11:45 pm.

Rona was at her parent's house, standing by the big window.

Yoonchul and Yoonhee picked her up yesterday so she can celebrate Christmas with them.

She wore a red knitted sweater that her dad gifted her earlier.

It was a noisy Christmas eve. Kids were playing around, the adults were chattering, her cousins were grilling some beef and pork, and laughs could be heard everywhere. 

Her parent's house was kinda big for 2 people. It had a huge backyard surrounded by big trees and also a pool and a jacuzzi indoors.

Their place were also surrounded by guards and had a tight security.

Her parents even went extra and bought a swing just for this occasion so the kids wont get bored, but at the end they couldn't use it because of heavy snowfall.

Rona smiled, looking at the view outside. The sky looked pretty as the snow slowly falls from it.

This was her routine every Christmas.

She'd stand by the big window, admiring how pretty the sky is. 

But for some reasons, this day felt extra special.

She was looking outside when she suddenly felt her phone buzz in her pocket. She looked at her phone, grinning.

Rona
Well, Isn't it Mr. Lee Seokhoon?

Seokhoon huffed.

Seokhoon
It has been a day and you already forgot about you boyfriend?

Rona
Well kind off. What are you doing? Is everything going well there?

Seokhoon nodded, even though she couldn't see him at all.

Seokhoon
Hmm not really.

Rona
Why? What happened? Are you okay? Did someone fight you? Are you hurt?

Rona asked in a worried tone. Seokhoon laughed at how cute his girlfriend was.

Seokhoon
Aigoo Rona-yah, you're so gullible, you know that right?

Rona huffed in annoyance.

Rona
Pft whatever you say Lee Seokhoon.

"RONA! 1 MINUTE LEFT!"

She looked at her mom with her phone still up in her ears and saw her relatives and dad in front of the television, getting hyped up.

The kids were getting ready to blow the toy horns that they bought at the store earlier.

"10! 9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 4! 3! 2! 1!"

"MERRY CHRISTMAS!" Everyone at the room cheered loudly. 

Rona looked outside, smiling at the view. 

Seokhoon was also looking at the view behind the big glass window that overviewed the han river, looking at the snow as it fell from the sky.

He smiled and noticed that the call was still ongoing.

He looked back at his parents and relatives, seeing how chaotic they are.

He smiled, looking at the sweater that Rona has made for him. 

He chuckled, whispering in his phone,

"Merry Christmas, Rona-yah." 

Rona heard it and smiled, whispering back.

"Merry Christmas, Seokhoon-ah."

"Rona-yah, wake up let's eat breakfast."

It was 8 am of December 25th, 2019. 

Rona rubbed her eyes tiredly, yawning loudly. She opened her eyes slightly and saw her dad sitting beside her bed.

She smiled, greeting his dad.

"Good Morning appa. Did you sleep well?" She sleepily said.

Yoonchul laughed, "Yes I slept well my pretty daughter. C'mon let's go down and it breakfast." 

He stood up, kissing his daughter in the forehead. Rona tiredly smiled as she saw her dad walk out of her room.

She sat down, stretching her hands to the air and stood up.

She walked towards the door and went down to the living room.

Their relatives had already left earlier this morning because they needed to meet some people this Christmas.

She walked towards Eunhee who sat at the dinner table, waiting for her to arrive, while Yoonchul was preparing hot choco for Rona.

"Good Morning Rona-yah, did you sleep well?" Eunhee asked as Rona sat infront of her.

Rona nodded, grabbing the cup of water in the table. 

Yoonchul placed the hot choco in front of Rona.

"Rona-yah, here's some hot chocolate, Appa made it for you," He grinned, sitting down beside Yoonhee. 

Yonhee looked at him in disbelief,
"Yah you didn't even make one for me?"

"You didn't ask for any," Yoonchul looked at Rona,

"Right Rona-yah? Hehe eat a lot okay?" He said, eating the toast that Yoonhee made for them to make Yoonhee kinda pissed at him.

"Hmmm right appa, eat a lot too!"

Rona jokingly grinned at her dad.

Yoonhee looked at the 2 in disbelief, "Are you two kidding me right now?"

Yoonchul laughed, patting Yoonhee's head, "Okay fine I'll make you one."

He stood up and went to make Yoonhee a cup of hot choco, laughing to himself.

Rona laughed while Yoonhee just rolled her eyes playfully. 

"Oh yeah Rona-yah, is it okay if we'll
celebrate new year with the Lee's?" Yoonchul asked, stirring the hot choco for Yoonhee.

"With Seokhoons?" Rona asked, taking a bite of her toast.

Yoonchul placed the hot choco in front of Yoonhee and sat down beside her, taking a bite of his now cold toast.

"Yes Rona-yah, It'll be fun! Also Seokhoon's parents and sister wants to meet you."

Yoonhee said, taking a sip of the hot choco that Yoonchul had made for her.

"Okay sure." Rona said, smiling at her parents.
