If he could just get into his workplace.
If he could just get into his house.
If he could just get into his room.
If he could just get into his mind.
If he could just get him.

Sneaking into abandoned places was easy for demons.
Sneaking into barren places was easy for demons.
Heck, even sneaking into huge parties was easy for demons.
Sneaking into someones heart...
Yeah, that... that was not so easy.

His snake-ish limbs twirled and twisted into a neat, slim pair of human legs, his magic having been perfected over the many thousands of years he had been alive.
It started with just one leg then to two twisted, un-functional legs and then after a few hundred years it got to the point where both legs were perfectly functional and the transition between human and snake was seemless and he could even do it while distracted!
His outfit was the same as always a form fitting button up shirt with a black vest and matching black trousers. The shoes were a pair of black, sleek high heeled boots adding 3 inches to his height. To any average bystander it would probably seem strange to see a 6'1 stranger wearing boots with 3 inch heels but he preffered the bewildered stares than any unsavory glances. It was difficult to look good!
Approaching the glass door his amusing-anxiety crept up along his fingertips and through his legs. His plan was set out perfectly in his mind. Walk in like any human would and sit down at one of the tables, then buy something sweet and hope that the person taking his order is who he wants it to be!
He knew that his ̴̛͍̾̈́̒̅̂̎̔͂͗̕̚͘͠ͅᵇ̸̧̝̲̖͕̲̲͍͓͌͑̓̍̌̿̔̑̎̓̓͂͘ᵉ̶̧̛̣̯̮̅̊͌̃̍ⁿ̸̛̹̖͇͈͓̳̠͇͋͌͊́̇̈́͗͗͆̀̿ⁿ̴͖͉̝̪̹̙̦͙͙̳̦͈͐̑͌̈́̆̏̿͗̔̈̂͜ʸ̶̢̡̭̰̬̖̝̫̃͗̒͌̃̂̐̚͘ͅ was at work and he knew that once he was inside he was going to find it hard to control his... demonic urges...

The bell on the door let out a sweet ring and alerted the employees of the incoming customer.
" One second! I'll be right out! "
The demon let out a silent venomous hiss.
Who was that?
He begrudgingly made his way towards the table closest to the entrance. As much as he wanted to be near his dear sweetheart he wished to have some pleasurable people watching time.
His demon eyes closely scanned the surrounding area, as he simultaneously took in the sweet smell of fresh pastries and cupcakes. The thought of his love stood by an oven cautiously watching to see if the small confectionaries would rise properly. His sweet eyes rivalling the things he spent so much time baking.
The idea of him sparing a glance in the direction of his table sent a shot of adrenaline down the demon's spine.
A set of rushed footsteps closed in on the small, oak table he was sat at.
" Sorry about the wait, "
You aren't him...
" My friend needed help with a flour spill, hah! "
Friend?
" Anyways what do ya' wanna have? I can give ya' a menu if you really want one? "
His breath hitched as the waiter pushed out a pink, bear themed menu.
" Oh, I'm fine, but thank you for the offer. I just want a loaf of milk-bread and some... "
He frantically searched his memory for his loves favourite sweet treat.
" ... and some chocolate chip cookies! "
He watched closely as the waiters face lit up in suprise and excitement.
" My friend who works here loves that too! He's the one who bakes all the food. I'm sure he'd love to meet you! "
He silently praised himself and the dark lord for how lucky he had gotten. His original plan had more steps than just mentioning some food but he wasn't about to start feeling sad about it, he was almost ten steps ahead of where he was supposed to be and that brought him the greatest kind of delight.
" I'd love to meet him too. I have a lot of free time so you can just tell him that it's his choice on the time. "
" Oh, uh... Okay, hah, I'll tell him don't worry 'bout it! "
The waiter walked away with a nervous laugh, awkwardly holding the menu in front of them as they walked.
Did he come off too strong? Maybe it was about how eager he sounded to meet their friend? Either way it didn't matter. He was going to meet with the only person who deserved everything, his love, his everything. Head buzzing with anticipation, he ran his fingers along the table's edge, nails gently drifting over the smooth oak wood.
A bright pink tablecloth had been carefully laid out, white lace adorned on the edge of the colorful cloth. Upon further inspection he spotted small lace bears on the corners that fell off the table. It was a sweet adition and he loved every second of it, knowing his sweetheart, this was probably something he had added himself. Most clues pointed to that, the mismatched shades of white, the very obvious stiching on the back looked akin to the kind from his dear's hand-made pillow that was blessed to be held by his angel.
At many points in time he had pondered learning the magic of possesion, just for that one goddamned pillow. It left an everlasting, taste of spoilt milk on his tongue. Only if spoilt milk tasted like pure, unadulterated rage, jealousy and yet passion. No matter what he did it was always there. Sratching away at his brain, his heart and his lungs creating a tight constricting feeling that held him harshly in it's grip.
He shook his head lightly, trying his hardest to rid himself of his negative thoughts. As he did so, he caught a glimpse of the sky through the glass windows.
Evening already?
The sky was cloudy and a hazy mix of pink and gold fought throughout the night sky before fading up into a calm blue.
A presence shuffled into the seat opposite him as a rustling sound slowed moved closer to him.
He paid no mind to it though, instead choosing to further admire the many stores, cars and people through the big wall-length window.
" I take it you enjoyed the cookies I made then? "
" Yes I- "
His words hung tight in his throat.
...
At last...♡
