Alex P.O.V.
“Can you not shine that damn light in my eyes?!” I growled out at the nurse. “I already have a freaking headache and you are making it worse” This damn nurse keeps shining this bright ass light in my eyes knowing damn well I have a massive headache. I know she is just trying to do her job but right now I just want to curl up in my warm bed with my soft fluffy blankets in the dark and go to sleep. Is that too much to ask for?
“Okay oww don’t touch right there!” I hissed out in pain. Geez this nurse is seriously bad at her job. She does know she is supposed to make the ‘patient’ feel better and not cause them more pain? “Stop being such a wimp Alex. I thought you were tougher than that” Isabella stated from the corner of the room where she was standing patiently waiting to see if my nose is broke or not. Why is she here again? Oh yeah that’s right, she slammed the door in my face.
“Hmm well how about I slam your face into the door so we can see how much it hurts” I snapped at her. I saw her flinch at my tone but I really couldn’t bring myself to feel bad for her right now. First she slams my face into a got damn door then she has the nerve to call ME a wimp. You have got to be kidding me. This bish has lost her mind.
“Okay” The nurse paused before continuing. “It appears you nose it not broken just a bit bruised and swollen so you might want to keep ice on it so the swelling goes down. Also you may have a tiny concussion so you will have to have someone keep an eye on you for a couple of days. You know maybe your dad or mom, maybe siblings? Just to make sure everything is alright. Take some pain reliever for the pain and make sure you stay hydrated. Okay?” I nodded my head slowly just wanting to get this over with.
“Actually my dad won’t be home for a week, He is on a business trip and my brother is visiting relatives.” I said truthfully. It’s not a lie, my dad is almost never home and even if he is I highly doubt he would help me. Plus my brother was visiting our grandma because she keeps saying that we never stop by anymore since you know who passed. I would go visit but my grandma treats me like I’m five years old so… no thank you. Plus she reminds me of my mom so much so it’s just too hard to see her. I feel bad, my grandma and I used to be see close and now… it’s like were strangers to each other.
“Okay well what about you mom?” I flinched at the word mom. It’s a very touchy subject. “She not around anymore” I said slowly hoping she would comprehend and not ask any questions. She seemed to understand because she looked at me sympathetically. Ha like she cares, I don’t need hers or anyone else’s pity.
“Okay well what about you Isabella? Do you think you can watch over Alexandria since you are the one who hit her with the door” I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at the name ‘Alexandria’ I told her 3 times already that its Alex an yet she still can get it correct.
“NO!” we both shouted at the same time. I could tell she was thinking the exact same thing as me. There was no way in hell I would ever invite her into MY home. We could barely be in a room for 10 seconds before we are in a heated argument. What makes her think we would be able to stay together for three days ALONE in my house. There is no way in hell that was going to happen.
“Well no is not an option. Isabella you are going to stay with Alexandria over the weekend and monitor her to make sure she is fine. I will contact your parents and let them know what happened. Understood?” She said firmly. Her tone was stern and we both knew there was no getting out of this so we both nodded and looked at the ground pouting like two children who didn’t get the toy they wanted from Santa.
“It’s ALEX” I mumbled under my breath but still loud enough for her to hear. She ignored me and walked over to her desk on the other end of the room to call our teachers and let them know we have been dismissed due to an “accident”. I for one know it wasn’t an accident the she-demon slammed that door into my face on purpose, probably payback from this morning for making her late. Or I could just be being paranoid but oh well.
