st. pastry order.
the church where pastry devotes her whole life in. a dark and mysterious atmosphere wraps the building creepily.

"reverend mother cookie! reverend mother cookie!"
one of the cookie nuns shouted as her voice echoed through the classic hallway.

"my child, what is the hurry?" asked reverend mother cookie who appeared behind one of the church's pillar.

"reverend mother cookie! i am sorry to disturb your time! but the cookie kingdom- no, our church is in danger!"
"danger?" she asked again.
"yes, mother! cake orcs are attacking everyone out of nowhere! it is 'that' night, mother!"

their chatter was cut off by the cake orcs roars and buildings falling off.

"ah... is that so?

...my child, please do not worry. our "godly makers" will protect this church. only this sacred church." reverend mother cookie said calmly, despite the chaos outside. she turned around and walked slowly.

"mother... but pastry cookie isn't back yet! it's been almost a day!" the nun continued.

reverend mother cookie stopped walking and smiled softly.
"she will be fine, i'm sure of it. she's an obedient student... she'll listen to whatever i say."

pastry cookie grunted as she pulled one of the higher window in red velvet's room.

"...what are you doing?" red velvet asked.
"trying to escape, of course! i'll find a way to get out without being attacked!" she answered.
"that window has been stuck for the past years, it won't o--"

CRACK!

the stair pastry's standing on broke so suddenly.
as she fell, red velvet caught her with his giant cake arm and dropped her afterwards.

"are you a 5 years old? you're so stubborn" he groaned.
pastry only squinted at him angrily, not saying a word.

"besides, you're getting told to stay so we could interrogate you, right?" he continued, and stood up in front of pastry.
his tall figure outsized her.

"w-what are you doing-?" she asked, trembling.
pastry slowly backed away as he slowly gets closer. there was a chair behind her.
pastry grabbed both of her shoulders which made her flinch, but he's just... gently pushing her down to the chair to make her sit.

"look, that red haired gnat is going back in few mins.
i'd like you to stay like a good girl so she won't hurt you even more. got it?" he asked with a slightly angry tone.
pastry nodded a little, surprised at what he said.

why would he care if i'm going to get hurt or no?

just at that moment, the door knocked.
red velvet opened the door and reveals pomegranate cookie.
"speaking of the devil...
anyways, how come you didn't get hurt by those cake orcs?"
"they ran away somewhere and i took that chance to come back. what a bother."

as they talked to each other, pastry looked at pomegranate with an unfriendly glare, which pomegranate noticed.

"my, my! the so called obedient nun is here... and she stayed there quietly." she muttered with her mouth covered by her long sleeve again.
red velvet rolled his eyes to the sky and huffed as he closed back the door.

"...you- give me back my crossb- AH!" she squealed.
pomegranate's hand pressed her jaws tightly.

"bold words coming from someone that intruded this place before."
seeing this kind of scene, red velvet would usually ignore it and goes along.
but seeing pastry's face...

"alright, pomegranate. that's enough." suddenly red velvet grabbed her arms, trying to make her let go of pastry.

"ah? what an unusual reaction.
are you feeling sympathy?
how ironic... you said that you didn't need any of her sympathy before." she chuckled sarcastically.
red velvet's expression clearly changed to an angry one.

"STOP IT, YOU CHILDISH PEOPLE- DO YOU WANT TO INTERROGATE ME OR NO?!"
pastry shouted at the two of them, breaking the intense atmosphere.
the two of them looked at her and she just realized what she just did.
expecting for pomegranate to grab her fiercely again, she shivered.

it turns out pomegranate only sighed and apologized.
"i'm sorry, dear. perhaps i'm not in the best mood today.
you are right, i'm here to ask you about few things."

red velvet calmed down and grabbed another chair for him to sit down, and so did pomegranate.
as the situation went better, pomegranate began asking her things that is... hard for her.

"pastry cookie, isn't it?
a nun that works in st. pastry order...
wow." her words made her confused.

"what's with that question...?" she asked her. only to see pomegranate glaring at her in disappointment.
"poor you.
such an innocent minded cookie... used for 'her' own goods." she added.

her...?

for unknown reason, pastry suddenly thinks of reverend mother cookie.
she felt uncomfortable, angry, and sad when the image of reverend mother cookie appeared on her mind.
but she denied those feelings.

"wh- what are you talking about?! reverend mother cookie isn't a vil-"

"why did you suddenly think of her? i didn't even mention her name... pastry." pomegranate interrupted her blabbering.

pastry froze and she lost her words. the shine in her eyes disappeared.
her face is as pale as a sugar, she began to gag.

red velvet quickly stood up and gave her back pats.
"hey hey come on- don't soil my floor, gnat-!"
pomegranate rised her hand slightly, giving a command to red velvet.
'she'll be fine.'

pomegranate continued again.
"i'm sure you realize that something isn't right in your church.
why did she say it was 'moment of doubts'? why did she say 'secrets between us' afterwards?
she must've known everything."

"WHY DO YOU- HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT OUR CONVERSATION?!" she yelled again, as her face went even paler.

"bingo.
you just admitted that she made such secret with you."
pomegranate softly smiled.

red velvet began to worry.
not just because of pastry's reaction...
the atmosphere is way too intimidating right now. even chiffon hid between his legs.
"POMEGRANATE! enough! that's too much, she's not going to be fine-"

in a blink of eye, pastry reached for red velvet's collar.
for a moment, he saw her eyes changed from blue to glowing pink.

he quickly reacted and grabbed her arm before she could do.
she's way much more stronger than before.

"PASTRY! WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH YOU?!" he shouted.

"you two... you two knew about the secret we made.
eliminating everyone right here, right now-
it's my order."

"...ah."
"what is it, mother?"
reverend mother cookie slightly opened her eyes.
her gentle smile disappeared.

"pastry has betrayed us."
