It was the night before my 18th and I couldn't sleep tossing and turning all night, my head filled with thoughts like will the prince even like me even though he hasn't me yet. I decides to go to sleep and it wasn't long before my dreams took over.

mum quietly knocked on my door and came in with a new set of clothes she just bought from the village nothing fancy, bit it was better than what I had in my wardrobe. "you better start getting ready hunny" mother said sadly.

"yea, but mum before its tome for me to go could you please make me some of you lovely stew as I will really miss it when im gone" I say while trying to be brave un front of mother. " of course, sweetie I will get started straight away so you will have time to eat" she said as she left the room.

I put on my clothes and looked at myself in the full body mirror inspecting every inch to make sure I looked half decent with the clothes my mother had bought. I packed a few things into a bag to take with me. mum called me down not long after.

I sat down and ate my food as mum braided my hair she even put a few daisy's into my hair like I did to the little girls in the village

u could hear the tramping of the palace horses in the distance, and it got closer till it just stopped and then there was a loud knock on the door. I slowly got up and went to open the door but as soon as my hand reached the handle I froze, sweat dripping of my forehead, heart pounding. it was that quite I swear you could hear it beat.

I turn around to my parents and they just nodded and I looked at the door handle once again and I opened it up to reveal two royal guards standing at the door they didn't show any emotion they didn't even look at me instead they look at my parents."we are here to collect and escort Isobel jones to the palace" one of the guards said. " T-that's me" I said whole leaning against the table as my knees buckled ready to give out.

"gather your things miss jones as we have to leave immediately" the guard said while moving to the side so I could leave the house and enter the carriage.

before I left, I ran to the spot where my parent's stood proudly, realising that I wont see them for a while, I ran in to there arms and wouldn't let go till one of the guards tapped my shoulder signalling me it was time to leave.

I bid my goodbyes to my dear parent's and walked to the carriage with my head down ignoring all the stares I was getting.

I was in the carriage with one guard either side of me. It wasn't long before we arrived to the palace. one of the guards got out of the carriage to open the door and he waited for me to gather my things and leave. suddenly a maid emeraged form the palace. " I will take you stuff for you miss they will be brought to the princes chambers as that is where you will be staying"

i opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out so i just nodded politely and handed her my stuff.

I was brought into the room where my mother once stood, once in entered i didn't even look up.

"hello Isobel, what a pleasure to finally meet you after so long of waiting for you" the queen said softly. "hello your majesty please to meet you to " i said not daring to look up. "look at me when im speaking to you and please call me Laura".

"yes, miss I mean Laura" I said slowly looking up into the queens cold eyes. I looked to the right and saw the prince Oliver he was beautiful his big doe eyes and his smooth skin and his big plump lips. I really wanted to kiss them.

" Bow to your prince" Oliver said harshly. my smile slowly faded and my heart shattered from his harsh words to his future wife.

the queen grant her son a disappointed look, he just looked at her with no facial expression anywhere on his face. " show her to my son's chambers" said as anger laced his voice.

From that point on i didn't look up. I was gazing at the ground when a shiny pair of black shoes came into view." follow me miss i will show you to your room its in the west wing the prince owns the whole wing and thats where you will be staying" the man said kindly.

It wasn't long before we reached the west wing, the doors to the princes chambers were made of dark oak and had a gold design with twists and swirls engraved in the door.

" were here miss" the guy said kindly as was just about to walk off, but I called him back. " sorry but i just wanted to get your name as you were so kind to me" i asked with my head down. " oh the names Aiden if you need anything just give me a shout and I'll come straight away" Aiden said while walking away to attend to his other duties. leaving me alone in Olivers room.

I stood in the middle of the room taking in every detail and admiring the room in which for some reason I felt save inside. it wasn't long before the big oak doors opened once again and the prince stepped inside not looking pleased with me.

I started to overthink that maybe her disliked me.

I was approaching my chambers when I saw a maid with a bag, so I asked her what she was doing, she said she had to bring the bag to my chambers for the future queen, I told her I would take it as i was on my way there anyway

I walked up the door and opened it up to reveal the girl standing in the middle of the room with her head focused on the ground.

the prince entered the room and coughed to get my attention. He threw my bag at my feet, and i heard something break i quickly bent down to find that he broke a picture of my mum I tried to hold back tears that were threatening to spill.

i slowly looked up at him with tears falling down my face as I couldn't hold them in anymore. He didn't even say sorry he just chuckled and left. at this point I was no sobbing uncontrollably. I felt pathetic for crying.

I stood outside the door and listen to her crying as I chucked to myself . "she must feel so pathetic" And with that Oliver walked away, but he also felt a little bit guilty and not knowing why.
